When The Front Door opens, surprise is too limited an emotion to explain Marian's expression. She comes through it, closing the door fast, and walking only slowly enough to be almost-formal.

To get outside the door, the bar, to get to the sunshine, the open space. Away from her bonds and bondage and both of them.

She doesn't think about people being on the other side of the back door as she thrust it open. Oops?

The quarian who comes through the door is walking a little taller than she did the last time she was here, and more confidently as well. In fact, she's very nearly swaggering. She's also in a much better mood than she was on her previous visit - although she's not as happy as she might otherwise have been.

Still, she's in enough of a celebratory mood that the unexpected appearance of Milliways doesn't ruffle her one bit. She is also feeling generous enough that she might buy drinks for friendly strangers, in the interests of spreading her good mood around.

Pt. II of Bogota 1979 & back again.

Well this place is old
It feels just like a beat up truck
I turn the engine, but the engine doesn't turn

Well it smells of cheap wine & cigarettes
This place is always such a mess
Sometimes I think I'd like to watch it burn*

I'm so alone, and I feel just like somebody else
Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same

But somewhere here in between
the city walls of dyin' dreams
I think her death it must be killin' me

[oom: Millitimed to the morning after this while also being a millitime of narrative and chronological convenience ...

Puck deplores Atlantean. Havelock is helpful.

Also, it is determined that fidelity is generally preferable and a jealous Havelock would be hilarious. No one was poisoned with belladonna in the making of this thread.]

It's a slightly more melancholy Munch that walks into Milliways tonight. Three days has been enough for the news to sink in, but he still can't believe that Alex is leaving SVU. Again.

But, in happier news today was the first official day of spring. So...

Tonight's Specials
Spring Feeling Cocktail
Springtime
Irish Spring

Munch stands behind the bar, ready to serve.

Outside in the back garden, Carlotta is practicing on a pair of trapese swings suspended carefully from two tall trees. It's a warm day, and there's no idiot with a crossbow to bother her.

She gathers speed on the first, launches, somersaults once and catches the other.

There is a safety net, of sorts, but in rather makeshift fashion and one that she does not intend to fall on.

Here's a guy who's not around much.

Or... yes, actually he is. But mostly he's outside, being depressingly healthy, upstairs being depressingly intellectual, or lurking creepily about in the shadows.

Today he's sitting at the bar with a notepad, a pencil, and a calculating expression.

It's probably not worth asking him what he's up to.

But it can't hurt to ask?

There is a man in green sitting by the fire, his feet up on a divan. He's eating an apple.

Hungry? He's got more.

The young Welshman who likes coffee is ... drinking coffee! Surprise! And reading!

Sometimes a bloke just wants a quiet Saturday night in.

And here's Brian.

He's discovered the jukebox. His hopes for dancing in the bar are not high, though.

Woah, check it out, it's Nita Callahan! Who would've expected it? Crazy.

She has a table, she has tea, she probably has a book; she's wearing a gray sweatshirt emblazoned NYU; and in spite of her mun's upcoming time-zone change of 4-5 hours, she's totally botherable.

Teja is sitting by the fireplace, writing something on a wax tablet, then stopping again, sipping his tea, pondering all the facts of his own murder.
