Amara did finally get to go home a while back; she's been avoiding the bathroom that got her stuck in Milliways since then. That worked out perfectly until the bar caught her as she was trying to get to her own bedroom.
The door's still there this time, but before she could turn around, she got a napkin from the Bar; when she asked for some kind of pointer toward a theme, she got... a potato.

Specials:
non-alcoholic drinks half off
tell me why this potato has a keg tap in it and your drink is free

It's not much of a theme, but she figures it'll get the job done.

[OOM: About an hour ago ... ]

Lily has claimed one of the armchairs this evening, high-backed and hiding her slightly from the view of the main comings and goings of the bar.

Or at least what would be slightly out of view if she didn't have a small flock of tiny blue birds flying in a circle above her chair, wheeling and gliding and chirping faintly. It's a very well done Avis, if Lily does say so herself. Flitwick, she thinks, would approve.

Of course, he's not the professor she's worried about right now.

When Parker Lee sets out to plan a party, she doesn’t do it by halves. Especially when it’s going to be for one of her best friends. Meg’s engagement is going to be celebrated in style if she has anything to say about it.

And so her table looks like the table of a woman who is planning to invade a small country by way of Better Homes & Gardens. There are pictures pulled from magazines and neat lists and notes on legal pad paper. Possible menus, color schemes, decoration options, cupcake flavors. Grid drawings of the best possible layouts for the tents (now that it’s spring, it makes no sense not to have it out by the lake). Lists of possible activities, music selections, the pros and cons of balloons, and lighting options if things go late.

She’s having fun.

She’s also filling up the table top, and one accidental bump of her elbow makes her glass of iced tea slosh and wobble. Parker grabs it in time to keep it from going over, but her array of highlighters roll off into the floor.

“Crap.”

Singing a rough song from the future to the harp is surely a challenge; but not one that Teja would not be up to.

He has learned a new song, and is singing it by the lake-shore, while bringing forth notes from his harp that no harp was ever made for.

But these new songs sit well with his fierce old-fashioned soul. Metal is his element, and these song are filled with ringing metal and the raging anger of battle.

Sunshine knows she's been putting it off long enough. Her tab has been paid, her room key returned to Bar for safe-keeping, and she's packed what little she has in her shoulder-bag. She'll be heading back home, today. Maybe Axel's Assassins will find something. Maybe they won't.

Nerves had woken her up well before dawn, and sunrise found her in a clear space by the lake. By this time, back home, she's normally in her bakery at the coffeehouse, putting the first trays of cinnamon rolls into the ovens.

But today starts out with a different kind of work. She is practicing making plasma bolts quicker - human reaction time is already at a disadvantage with vampires, so there's no reason not to try to minimize that issue. She forms the plasma bolts, blue-yellow-white between her hands, as she breathes in, letting them dissipate with each exhale. Every so often, she does a quick, gasp-like inhale, to see how well the process can keep up.

Rae has resolved herself to leave at eight, but until then, practice. Though she wouldn't be averse to company as well.
