Twilight Sparkle has determined that the owl she rescued last week does, in fact, have a spell on it. So the human might have been crazy, but he wasn't lying. Finding out how long the spell will last, and how to cut it short... that's proving to be much more difficult.

To that end, Twilight has once again returned to Milliways, and has her muzzle buried in a massive tome almost as big as the table, while she takes copious notes on a roll of parchment paper.

Feel free to read over her shoulder, but good luck trying to puzzle out what she's doing. The book is written in Old Equestrian, and Twilight's penmareship is atrocious.

The Borealis is almost fully repaired; only a few minor details remain. The mission is planned out in as great detail as they can manage. They leave at first light. First light for central Europe, that is, which is about 3:00 in the afternoon for western Australia. Much of the Resistance is taking a midday rest so they'll be fresh and ready to go when they 'port into the Baltic Sea for the push into what used to be Poland.

Not Alyx, though. She's feeling too restless, too nervous that something else is going to go wrong. So rather than wander through the ship and wake everyone up, she has once more retreated to Milliways. (Seriously, if they ever lose the door to this place for any length of time, she's going to go batshit.)

Thus, we find a very pregnant Afro-Asian woman doing target practice out by the lake. Just because she's not on the front lines anymore is no excuse to get rusty.
