Will's outside at the archery range, its a good thing to do as he thinks about what maybe coming this tax time.

Also he's worrying about Guppy though at least Kate's doing better.

"Day, milord, 'ow are ye farin'?"

He fires the last arrow in the quiver before turning and bowing to Teja.

Teja nods to him in greeting.

"Well," he says, "even though it has turned cold, sharply, and much earlier than it would in the lands I come from. One must move more, to be warm!"

"Oh aye, England is like this, milord. Been rainin' a good bit at 'ome."

"It was cold and rainy already when the Romans held it," Teja says. "Men would need warm houses, and warm clothes, to survive there."

"Aye, milord."

That's why the Lincoln Green the men wear is good solid wool.

"So, as this place is mirroring the lands to the north of your home," Teja says, "it is cold here, also, and I will need to get used to it."

"Na too far north, milord. Nottinghamshire is almost in Northumberland."

"I know nothing of these place," Teja says, "but their very names sound northerly!"

Will grins,

"Aye, milord, tis rather northern."

"I spent all my life in much warmer climes," Teja says, suspecting that his susceptibility to the cold would be somewhat amusing to Will.

"Oh aye, milord, grew up in England so tis what I know."

"Last winter, in this place," Teja says, "there was much snow -- but it was not much colder than it is now, when I first arrived; and that was the full moon in October."

Pause.

"But to a man from your lands, a Gothic warrior that freezes in September would be amusing."

Will smiles,

"Nay, wouldna be, milord."

"This winter, maybe, I would get used to it," Teja says, "and not take cold at every snowball thrown at me!"

"Aye, milord an snowballs are fun."

"Indeed," Teja says, "I might get used to the idea, this winter!"

"Winter is lovely, milord. Gives ye a reason to drink mulled wine."

"Indeed, and that half-drink, half-dish with the apples," Teja concedes. "Still, I feel cold!"

"Fire 'ere is lovely, milord."

"Or in the forge," Teja says. "It is less cold, there."

"Aye, tis, milord an thank ye for the arrow'eads."

"I will make more," Teja says, "it will help me to keep warm!"

Will just grins at that,

"Would be grateful for that, milord."

"There is ever a fight against the men that would oppress your people," Teja says, "so I would help wherever I can!"

"Oh aye, milord, will let ye know when I know the Sheriff's plans for the tax."
