Serenity's got about another 32 hours before they hit Ezra.

The waiting before a job is usually the worst part, and today Mal is feeling it more so than others. He's checking in with the bar when he receives an eyepatch and a watergun the likes of which he hasn't seen since that ridiculous Assassin game in April.

There's a smirk when he shoves the eyepatch into his pocket, hopping behind the bar and scrawling out a sign before asking Bar for a 3' by 5' cloth.



Mal walks out the door to the lake, damn near whistling.

[ooc: I'm on gchat for any coordinating that might want to happen. Uh. It's not a huge boat, but it'll do. I'll put up an organizing post somewhere if this gets people involved.

Inara has no pride, especially when she's been thoroughly soaked twice. She ducks behind Mal, sending a flick of water towards Elizabeth as she goes.

Enzo twitches and emits a muffled yelp and an audible crackling noise as some water catches him in the mouth before he can clamp his lips shut.

He knew the danger when he went in...

Mal turns, distracted, when Enzo hisses like a bad circuit board.

After Ed's and Inara's attacks, Mal raises a hand: cease-fire. Captain Reynolds approaches the Captains Turner, jabbing a thumb behind him, to the lakeside.

"You know," Mal offers, not surrendering one little bit. "There's food over there."

Just sayin'.

"Dutchman's got a volley range on 'em," Mal adds in deference to Will's circumstances. "And I'm hungry."

Jamie eyes the land.

. . . there's a lot of food there. And if there's one thing Jamie has experience with, it's stealing food.

He raises his hand up high, and volunteers, "If you ask me, I'm all in favor of uniting in a common cause."

Standing firm, the Captains Turner look at each other, the beach and back at Mal.

"Truce," Elizabeth announces, head held high. The fact that she's dripping wet doesn't seem to bother her any.
