[OOM: Hello, Milliways. It's been a long time.]
A year, in fact, since Parker Lee opened a door and found the bar on the other side.
She had wondered once or twice why her door hadn't followed her across the ocean. But she hadn't really worried about it. Real life had been enough of an adventure over the past year, busy and full of new people and new experiences.
And no safety net. Maybe the Universe had recognized the need for that.
Smiling, Parker turns slowly in a circle. Like Hearst, Milliways hasn't changed. But no way could it ever feel small. She rubs one friendly hand on the polished wood of the bar.
"Hi, Bar, sweetie. I'm back."

Just for safety's sake.
"Is that, uh, normal? The glass eating?"
She's guessing yes, since the ...man doesn't seem too concerned about it.

Just--you know--not too close.
"That is wild."

"Thar's plenty o' wild stuff en Milliway's."

Parker straightens up.
"Have you been coming here long?"

Parker mentally kicks herself. She had forgotten about that particular aspect of Milliways.
"Buy, hey," she says, trying to salvage the situation. "This is a good place. It's definitely always interesting."

"Didn't what?" she asks.

Purely at herself.
"I think jet lag is making me slow on the uptake," she says.
Even though she has been back on Pacific Daylight Time for a week and can't really use that as an excuse any more.

"That and airline toilets."

"Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful for airline travel. But eight hours in coach with a bathroom you can barely turn around in?"
"Its enough to make you swear off liquids for a day."

Parker raises her eyebrows, wondering idly what Homeland Security would make of Wilbur.
Which she realizes is a moot point. For all she knows, he is completely nondescript in his world.

"But the trips you can take are definitely worth it," Parker says with a smile.

"O' course, he was even crazier than his daughter, sew thet may nawt have mattered thet much."

She really can't come up with a positive adjective.
[OOC: The mun is quickly fading out. Fade or slow time?]

"Awful? Wal, Gran'father's mission en life was ter destroy the world, an' most o' the people en the towen whar either crazy ur jest plain stupid--mostly stupid." Wilbur laughs. "Sew I'd say thet awful es rather accurate, ter be honest."
