Bela arrives, moving a little more slowly than usual, but with her familiar smirk. It's been an interesting day. In the end it was a quite profitable one, even if she's paid for it in bruises.

Now that she's not as focused on terror inspired by hellhounds, she's very much like to chat with Buffy. Perfect timing!
She winces as she sits down, but hides it with a quick smile.

"How've you been?"
No hellhound-mouth-shaped holes, but she does look a little scraped up.
no subject
"I've been fine, for the most part. Turns out a god-type came along and told the hellhound that was bothering me to behave. It did. Turns out as long as you feed it steaks, it can almost be helpful."
She orders her own fruit smoothie. She'd have some whiskey in, but she's in the mood for healthy.

Glancing back at Bela: "Is that -- ?" Her finger traces the location of the scrapes on Bela's face over her own, questioningly.

And floors giving way. Bela knows how to fall very well.
no subject
With idle curiosity: "What kind of talisman?"

"Heavens, oh I'm so terribly sorry."
no subject
"Think nothing of it."

The toddler's eyes look back at her.
"Siddey," he says, decidedly.
"Merry, be nice," says his mother.
no subject
"He's cute," she says. That's the kind of thing you say to parents of children.
no subject
It's the sort of thing you say when people say things like that about your children, even if the smiles seem rather more Court like than sincere.
She shifts her son to get one hand free and offers it.
"I'm Amy, and this is Merry."
no subject
"Bela. Nice to meet you."
She keeps smiling.

(He has the shoes from yesterday, though. They're solid and comfortable, thick black ankle-height boots, and don't look stupid. He likes them.)
He is especially happy about all this when he sees Bela. He smiles and waves to catch her eye.
no subject
Which is... kind of strange for her, but hey. Whatever. She waves back and heads over.
"Hi," she says, and she leans in to give him a quick kiss. Just because she can.
Then she notices the boots. These are the kinds of things she notices. "Nice boots, Cal. Did you go shopping or did the bar provide them?"
If Bar provides shoes as well as food and drink, Bela's going to be one happy lady.
no subject
"They came from the Bar. Yesterday was - very strange. Trust me, you're not sorry you missed it." Pause. "Even though you would have looked really hot."
Please pardon Cal for a few seconds; he is currently busy envisioning scantily clad pirate Bela and will get back to you shortly.
That would, he decides, have improved things a lot.
no subject
"Oh, would I have? Do tell. I am most intrigued and sad I missed an opportunity."
She slides a chair over to sit closer to him.
no subject
He has accepted, by now, that he got off exceedingly lightly compared with plenty of other people, but that doesn't mean he has to be happy about it.
no subject
Then the whole pirate bit processes.
"Wait, pirates? Really? How? Did you just- wake up in pirate clothes?"

Jamie doesn't know the woman, but he does know the walk of ow-bruises-ow. She looks awfully chipper for someone walking that particular walk.
no subject
She gives Jamie a smile, even. Why not?
no subject
(Or at least not deal with a lot of painful near-death experiences.)
He lifts a stick with several marshmallows stuck on it in a salute.
no subject
Bela laughs and salute back.
no subject
Jamie grins, and gestures with the stick in a way that is meant to indicate his willingness to share, if people are so inclined.
no subject
She heads over anyway. Why not?
"You're pretty free with your marshmallows, it looks like."
