Bright and early, Gavroche is up and about at the church site, beginning work to keep it safe from the elements - and from encroaching plant life, with which he's having an earnest debate about where else it could grow.

Things don't get fixed overnight. It takes time and thought to heal. But it's possible to feel better in the process. After the Courage Badge was destroyed, Lucas felt better than he cared to admit. Once sleep and morning meditation administered their salves, the guilt of ridding himself of the badge was lessened further.

Now he's back to the grind, trying to make sense of The Strange but True Account of Our Otherworldly Abduction and the Secrets We Risked Our Lives to Learn.

They thawed out and beamed down several new people from the alien ship today. Ellen was there when they arrived. None of them really reacted well, of course- nobody does- but while the construction foreman and the mathematician managed to get their acts together fairly quickly, the third arrival started hyperventilating and refused to talk to anyone. Ellen didn't find out until much later, after she'd started talking with the others in his batch of arrivals, that Giles Wolstencroft had apparently once worked for Vault-Tec.

She will be speaking with him at great length in the days to come, you may be sure, but right now all she wants is a bottle of Nuka-Cola and a stack of Grognak the Barbarian comics as high as her elbow. If that kind of thing's your bag, she'll be happy to share.

Charles is tired and worried, Javert has gone missing and its causing painful ripples. Its hard to see Guppy blaming himself and he fears what Hannibal might have talked to Javert about since he can't imagine anything productive coming from that conversation.

He's spent the day either downstairs or outside walking trying to find ways to keep himself from imagining too many possibilities. In the evening, he sits down at a table with a crossword and his notebook, jotting down ideas of how to make those they've recruited and will recruit come together.

Shufti looks reasonably well for someone who had a caesarean three days ago.

Since she's not yet allowed to take the twins out of the neonatal unit, she's come to the bar to try and get some non-hospital food. Bar rewards her with a plate of chicken pie, and a large cake with 'Congratulations' on it.

"Thanks Bar." Shufti grins and sits at the bar.

There's plenty of cake for sharing.
