Joly's taken a table not too far from the observation window and covered it with a spread of ceramic and Plastic working tools. In the middle and the center of his focus is a sort of upright cylinder, and a few small objects on either side of the tube. Occasionally he drops one into the tube, makes some notes, and positively giggles.

Open to talking, but Science may very well keep happening during conversations.

Talking with Autor and Bonnie about the Milliscouts has Quentin wondering about what kinds of video games Bar might have. At the counter, he's in jeans and a t-shirt and having a conversation by napkin about consoles and what games might work.

After about fifteen minutes of napkins, he has two different consoles, a Wii and something that seems to be like an XBox but from another world, Bar said it was better. He also has a collection of games, a bag of potato chips and some soda, the process of balancing it all requires thought but he makes his way to the couches without spilling anything.

Along the way, he looks far too graceful as he just misses various seats and then he starts the process of figuring out how to set it all up.

About 4 days after this Death sat at a table looking over a menu, it wasn't like he needed one. He was wearing his usual suit but instead of his cane a small scythe laid on the table. He might offer dinner to someone who sits with him.

Here's the thing about not!Scottish landscapes when the local calender rolls around to something approximating January: It gets ridiculously cold. Too cold for little blue genetically engineered engines of mayhem (at least without plenty of layers). And certainly much too cold for turtle ducks. One might argue that the turtle ducks were probably perfectly happy hibernating the winter away in the lake bank, but that's clearly only because as turtle ducks they didn't know what they were missing.

So, in summary, turtle ducks blanketing the couch. They peer myopically about their new surroundings, shaking off their winter torpor in the welcome heat. Seated in the midst of them is Stitch. He's uncharacteristically still for the moment, thoughtfully plucking out a tune on his ukulele. And the vampire costume? Well, like we said, layers are important. Really.

Just outside the forge, a collection of what appears to be junk has been laid out on a large sheet of tarpaulin. On the outside wall of the forge, and on the back door inside, a large sign has been pinned up:
