'Duty' here meaning 'bartending' because Lady Bar deserves some shut-eye'.

So there is a sliiiiightly out-of-place pilot behind the bar, putting up specials.

Xaldin glances at the specials, then at the man behind the board, "You do realize that not everyone here has biology, do you not?"

"As long as you understand that I can't get drunk on the specials." Xaldin says with a shrug, "Sure. Xaldin, III of XIII, the Whirlwind Lancer."

"What's your poison, then?"

Maguire puts one hand up to his forehead in a mock salute.

"'Mad Dog' Maguire, formerly of the French Foreign Legion."

"If it's not Atlantean it won't touch Nobodies." Xaldin says, "And if it is, it might kill humans. I'm not sure. The hangover is halfway to Oblivion."

Possibly, Xaldin will be able to tell from Maguire's expression that the pilot has indeed tried Atlantean, and regretted it like nothing else the next morning.

"Okay, so it doesn't actually kill humans. Good to know." Xaldin says, ticking an imaginary box in the air. "It usually took three or four bottles between us for Xigbar and me to start feeling the effects."

"Well, not at the amount I took, anyway," Maguire points out.

"I only 'ad a shot. Wouldn't be surprised if it turned out poisonous in larger quantities."
