Everybody has already seen and believed at least six impossible things today, so here they all are:
  1. Teja, sharing his usual coarse bread, moretum and cured meat with little Egil. Teja's own tea is black and strong, though, and Egil's fragrant, honey-sweetened fennel.
  2. Galen Erso is setting a breakfast table for two, by the window looking out into the sunny outside at the back, helped by some rats.
  3. Father Harman is absent-mindedly drinking tea and eating bran flakes from a bowl while reading a newspaper, all done standing up at the bar.
  4. Dr. Hannibal Lecter is carrying a fully laden breakfast tray out from the kitchen. There is probably enough here for three or four people.
  5. Dorian Gray is sipping champagne and nibbling battenberg cake while looking extremely chipper and cheerful.
  6. Alex Vause, on the other hand, is drinking Starbucks coffee (from a huge permanent cup bearing that green logo, and her name) and munching on assorted donuts in a bright pink basket, because that is what she asked the bar for.
  7. Lady Margolotta von Überwald is having cocoa in the furthest, darkest and most hidden corner.

Have at!

A young woman, dressed in what looked to be 'regency styled kung-fu robes, emerged through the door, the entrance way behind her showing what could be an underground cellar, wide and supported by stone and wood frames. The bottom corner of her lip is bloody showing signs of a bruise, though at the moment it's hidden from the handkerchief being used to staunch the blood. Almost immediately, the condition of her face was forgotten in favor of her current location.

Perhaps Lydia struck her harder than she thought?

"Papa..." Her accent is light british as she tries to find the older man. "Since when has a tavern been part of the property?" The nearest pub was four miles from home.

She turned around. The cellar was still there, but it seemed none of her sisters remarked on this strange sighting.

Even if the door back to the palace on Asgard had vanished, Sif hadn't stopped working. There were plans to calculate, battles to chart out, weapons to be tended to, and, if she allowed herself the thought, a little rest before the door returned. Upon further investigation there was no set period of time said door was ever gone. It seemed that it came and went as it willed depending on the person. While Sif was now fine with the chance to get things in order she couldn't deny at first she had been quite annoyed and had spent some time glaring at the wall with her arms crossed. Not that it worked, of course, but it did make her feel better.

Slightly.

For dinner she had asked Bar to surprise her with something, anything, she would think the Agardian would like. To her surprise the food that had appeared before her was nothing int he realm that she had ever tried. Bar had called it Barbecue, homemade chips, and a side of slaw. When asked where it hailed from the note simply stating 'Earth' had made her chuckle. Perhaps she counted the short-lived humans too short in their creativity at times. Of course the last time they had been to Midguard it had been quite some time ago. She would have to introduce her brothers to this BBQ should they ever come there.

Licking her fingers clean she paused reaching for her glass of lemonade to glance towards the large window as Ragnarok started again. A curious thing that window- perhaps one day she would inquire more about it when there was more time. For now she had plans to work out and wait for her door to return.
