Billy is curled in his usual spot by the fire -- he's been here long enough to have a usual spot -- and brooding over physics. Well, looking frustrated over physics and brooding between problems. He's a good multitasker.

Except apparently not, because sometime around problem thirty he chunks the book down with a clatter and makes a loud, frustrated noise. "I'm never going to use this anyway!"

"You'll warm up when you start moving!" Arnold promises enthusiastically. "What do you want to play?"

"I dunno. I haven't played anything in a long time. Um. Soccer, maybe, or baseball? I'm not very athletic."

And you're in a skirt, he doesn't say.

"We don't have baseballs or soccer stuff. Let's play..."

He bounces in place as he thinks.

"Let's play space ranger! Space rangers on the moon!"

He takes a few gigantic leaps in a mockery of zero gravity, laughing.

It's been a really long time since he's played pretend. "Okay!"

And that would be when Billy turns down the gravity! Just a little. Around moon-range.

On the 'Arnold likes you' scale of one to ten, Billy just soared to about a five hundred.

The next time Arnold jumps, he gets the appropriate hangtime. And whoops so loudly the entire bar probably hears it.

"Did you make it the moon? It's just like the moon!"

"It's got the moon's gravity. Or, well, we react to it like it does. I didn't change the whole outside of the bar or anything." He's pretty sure that would be frowned on. "One small step for man, one giant leap for mutantkind!"

"Moon rangers!" he squeals, randomly jumping and running. "Oh no, an asteroid! It's going to crash, we have to stop it!"

"Quick! Fire your laser at it so we can change the trajectory!" And yes, that is an astroid-shaped construct floating lazily toward them. "Pow pow pow!"

Playing with a witch is fun!

He takes a great leap to the side and fires off several shots from his finger gun, just like in the movies.

"Pew pew pew!"

The astroid reacts as though Arnold had actually shot it, and blows to pieces. "THE DAY IS SAVED!"

Arnold pumps his fist from the ground where he landed. "Thanks to Ranger Billy and Ranger Arnold!"

"Woo! Good job, Ranger Arnold! Shall we go exploring this strange and wondrous new place?"

"Yeah! Where should we go first, Ranger Billy?"

He hops back to his feet, floating a bit in the process.

"To the dark side of the moon!" Billy points toward the lake, and sets off toward it.

"To stranger and more wonderful things!" he agrees, and bounces after him.

"Maybe we'll meet aliens!" Billy's laughing and smiling, which is a huge change in demeanor from inside the bar. Arnold: good for what ails you!

"I hope they're good aliens so we can be friends and trade cheese!"

Arnold is also laughing and making a great deal of noise. Best day evar.

Billy pauses, which leads to momentary freefloating. "--trade cheese?"

"Yeah, cheese. Moon cheese."
