Oh, Hermione really does hate crying.
But when she wakes up the next morning, stumbling out of her makeshift bed within their tent - and into the bar (she wanted to get some fresh air and some solitude away from Harry) - she remembers (quite vividly) everything that transpired the previous night and it brings fresh tears to her eyes all over again.
Sniffling and wiping her eyes, she heads up to Bar and asks for a warm cup of tea to soothe her nerves, then finds herself a seat near one end of the bar.
Despite her current miserable appearance, she wouldn't mind some kind company (and/or a distraction from her thoughts).
[ooc: open all day!]

"I'll take care of finding those while you look after your moth- I mean Hermione," Nash says as she passes.
"Hermione?" Mia asks him, turning her head to follow the witch with her eyes. "Yes, I will go see to her. Will you come?"
Nash shakes his head. "I have this bad habit of making things worse. You go."
As Mia walks, there's a jolt of fear. Just how far has Hermione gone in her timeline? What's happening now?
"Hermione?"
no subject
"Oh, Mia," she greets, smiling as best she can. "Hullo - how are you?"
no subject
She sits down. Concern is invitation enough to join her.
"What is happening in your home?"
no subject
"Ron left," she bursts out before she can stop herself. "Last night. He simply up and left us. Harry and I don't know where he's gone off to."
no subject
"Oh Hermione... I understand all too well what you're going through. And just like the people I talked to when it happened to me, I don't think I've really got any good advice for you. I'm sorry."
Most everything Mia heard about the war came from Draco's perspective. She had no idea this would happen.
But at least, Mia thinks, it is better for Ron to leave instead of what happened to her. Thinks, but doesn't say.
"I wonder if this is just one of those stupid things you can count as boys being boys and sooner or later they'll figure out what they've done," she says miserably.

"Are you all right?"
no subject
"I - I think I'll be all right in a bit," she says weakly.
no subject
"Do you want to talk about it?" he asks. He's not usually so good with crying, but Hermione's just young enough that his paternal instincts are overriding any awkwardness. A couple years older and it might be a different story.

"My - my friend Ron left us last night," she finally says, clutching her tea cup tightly. It trembles a bit. "We had a terrible row and he ... left."

"Oh ... hullo, Demeter," she says. "I'm ... my friend Ron decided to leave last night."

"Well, where do I even start?" she says, as tears do indeed fall from her eyes. Hugs tend to have that effect. "We had a row - the three of us - and Ron was the most fed up, I suppose."

"-Um. Are you okay?"
no subject
How could he just do that?
But at the interruption, she sniffles and nods, wholly unconvincingly. "I'm - yes, I'll be fine," she replies, dabbing at her eyes with a napkin Bar provided for her.
no subject
Alas.
A little bit uncertainly: "Did- did something happen?"
no subject
To someone who doesn't know her situation in the least, her answer might sound a little ... well, silly. Almost emo.
But it's the truth.

Sallie overhears the young girl's order. "One for me too, please, Bar. Oolong, xiexie."
A smile to the girl from the woman with silver hair. "Nice to have something warm at hand some days. Is it very cold in your world now?"
no subject
Hermione attempts to return the smile as best she can, nodding in agreement.
"Yes," she replies. "It's winter now in my world - I think it's winter here too, isn't it?"
no subject
Sallie extends a slender hand towards the girl. "Sallie Reynolds."
no subject
"Hermione Granger," she returns. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Between that and the short day, she's in a bit early. (On the other hand, she's inwardly rejoicing that there is a short day. After everything, it's good to see again.)
She approaches the counter, orders herself some water and a bowl of tea-berries, and gives the girl a nod.
no subject
After all, there's no reason why she shouldn't be polite.
no subject
Cata's starting to get a hang of the faces around here, and she doesn't recall seeing this girl before.
