The door opens to admit one tired warrior and commando. Tanya blinks at startles some at the sudden presence of Milliways, since it caught her shoe-less, in boxers and a tank top.

Worse, startled also means she allowed the door to close by accident, and now it refuses to open.

"Yes, I know I need some rest, but you could let me get dressed first." She speaks to no-one in particular, giving the door a last rattle for good measure and grumbling.

If there is someone controlling it, such person has a weird sense of humor.

Guppy, who has his small son strapped to his chest, approaches and offers her a soft blue baby blanket to cover herself with.

"Been caught that way myself occasionally."

The blanket is accepted. "Thank you. I am just glad it picked me up when i was coming OUT of the bathroom, not going in."

That would have been embarrassing.

"That's all right, there are bathrooms here too. How are you doing?"

"I am... alive? And kicking?" The woman shakes head a bit, and goes for a change of subject. "Your child?"

"That's great! And yes, this is my son Alexander."

He picks up the baby's tiny hand so that he can gently mime the little guy waving.

Tanya's expression softens, and she smiles. "Hi Alexander..."

Aw, look at the though woman going dazzled at baby...

"He was born very early, that's why he's still very small." Guppy says, going to the bar to get a bigger blanket for her. "Do you have a change of clothes here?"

"I do." Sheepish smile. "I should go change, I guess."

Hmm, funny... she is moving a bit stiffly.

"Are you okay?" Guppy asks, noticing the movement.

"Come on back when you're changed, if you want tea or anything I mean."

"Just a scratch." She vaguely indicates her left side. "I will be right back."

Tanya moves to the stairs. From the way she walks, it is more than 'just a scratch'.

Guppy can't do anything if she won't ask for help, so he sits nearby and hopes she comes back.

She is back in ten minutes, wearing swaetpants and a sweatshirt, still moving stiffly. "Hi."

"Tea?" Guppy asks. He's unstrapped Alexander and got the baby snuggled on his tummy.

"Thank you." She will also sit down. "It is becoming an habit, with the british troops arriving in larger numbers."

"It's not a bad habit to be in." Guppy says. "How do you take it?"

"Lemon, no sugar." Woo, real british fashion.

Or not, depending on who you ask.

Guppy, who takes neither of those, would contest that, but he pours it for her as she likes it.

"Are you hurt?" he asks after sliding it over.

"Bayonet. A few Reds got too close." She takes a sip of tea. "The doc back at HQ said it only hit muscle, missed anything important."

"So you've been treated and it's okay?"

She nods. "Itches like crazy and feels like someone also kicked me a few times. But yeah, okay, just... sore and tender."

Sympathetic grimace.

"Would you like ice or anything?"

"I will take an ice pack with me later, when I go up try to sleep some. Thanks."

"Hazards of war."

"Any time, it's what I'm here for."

"If he had hit me an inch up and another to the right, I would not be here talking with you..." It was a harsh reminder of her mortality.

"Is there somewhere safer you could go?"
