As she comes down for breakfast this morning, Dani's none too surprised by the sudden appearance of a few strands of beads around her neck and the replacement of her usual stocking cap with a sparkly jester's hat.

"Heh. Cool." She hops up on a stool and asks, "Can I get a waffle and some orange juice, please?"

The waffle that appears is chocolate chip and topped with a generous amount of whipped cream, with a lit candle sticking out in the middle. Written on the napkin that shows up next to the plate are the words Happy 14th Birthday, Danielle!

Dani grins and blows out the candle. "Thanks for remembering."

Unusually, her boyfriend isn't pouncing her today. In fact, he's down the other end of the Bar, hoping she won't notice him until he's got this taken care of.

"Come on! It's been three cycles!"

No response.

"It's her birthday! I can't wish her happy birthday dressed like this!"

His hennin loses its gauze and is recoloured into a party hat.

"BAR!"

Naturally, any outburst involving her boyfriend's voice gets Dani's attention so she turns to greet him and ask what the problem was.




She's not laughing at you, Enzo, honest. She's laughing with you (y'know, if you were laughing at all).

Enzo, likewise keyed in to Dani's voice, whirls.

Aw, Web. He picks up a couple of parcels and plods over to her, not making eye contact. "Hi, Dani," he mutters. "Happy birthday."

Dani snickers and gasps for breath as she pulls herself back up onto her stool.

"Oh...man. She really got you good didn't she?"

Enzo sulks.

EVEN HIS BELOVED HAS TURNED AGAINST HIM. WOE.

She allows herself one last chuckle before swallowing the rest of her laughter. (She'll probably crack up about it in her room later)

"Well, at least it's not permanent, right?" Dani points out, trying to be optimistic.

"Yeah, but it's rotten timing."

So much for emotional confessions today. Her birthday would be a good occasion for it, but... no. Just no.

Yeah; she'd probably have a hard time taking him seriously like this.

"So, I'm guessing that having a party today is out?"

"Only if it's a costume party," he pouts. Then, brightening a little, he gestures around the bar. "But there's kind of one already."

There's not many things more eye-catching than Enzo in a dress, at least to Arnold.

It's that and the fact that he's got a pretty girl with him that makes Arnold wander over to the happy couple. He's heard rumor of a 'Dani', after all.

"Did you guys switch places for the day or something?"

Enzo glaaaaaares at him, then snorts. "I'd pay to see her dressed like this. Dani, this is Arnold."

Yay, Nicktoons meet!

"How much?" Dani shoots back. Not that she'd actually consider it, but...

Arnold gets a smile and an offered handshake. "Nice to meet you, Arnold."

And Dani gets a smile and handshake in return.

"It's nice to meet you, too. I've heard all about you from Enzo."

Enzo smirks at Dani's question. "I probably couldn't afford it."

"Darn right you couldn't," she retorts.

"Oh, really?" Dani gives Enzo a sidelong glance at Arnold's remark. "All good things, I hope?"

Good thing Arnold's not in a mischievous mood for Mardi Gras, huh?

"Definitely good," he says with a chuckle. "Mushy at worst, really."

Enzo blushes and says, "Yeah, well..."

Dani sniggers.

There's a smiling Game sprite sidling up next to Dani and ruffling affectionately at her bangs with a free hand, the other holds a wrapped parcel.

"Hey, Happy Birthday, Spook."

"AndrAIa, hi! Thanks!"

Still smiling, she places the package on the bar top beside Dani and, smirking, she tugs lightly on the jester's hat.

"You're welcome. Nice hat."

"Cool, isn't it?" Dani grins. She wonders if she can talk Bar into letting her keep the hat after Mardi Gras.

She picks up the package and opens it, pulling off the wrapping paper. "So, how're things in Mainframe?"

"Busy. I'm doing some last minute planning before the ceremony, I have to find some way to seperate Matrix from Gun. You're still coming, right?"

Inside the package are a few digital world action figures: The Black Codex, Commander Spybot and a Flash EPROM.

Feel free to ignore her little snerk of amusement. "Of course I'm coming! I'm not going to miss this!"

Dani grins as she finishes unwrapping the action figures. "Cool! Thanks, AndrAIa."

"Great!"

AndrAIa watches her unwrap the present, smiling the whole while.

"I'm glad you like them."
