It's been a few days since Rorschach's first experience in the bar, and he pauses in the doorway this time, one arm extended to hold the door open.
Behind him, if anyone cares to notice, lies an eerily quiet and somewhat shadier-looking bar than Milliways.
It only takes him a moment to make up his mind, though, and he lets the door swing shut behind him and heads for the Observation Window.
Apparently the bar isn't a dream, and doesn't just exist in Dreiberg's apartment. This means the next logical step is figuring out where it does exist. Hence the solemn window study.
Long story short: There's a short masked man sitting on a table, making the 'thinker' pose at the Observation Window.
He's relatively botherable.

"Yeah," Elle agrees. "It's cool."
no subject
"Temperature sensitive," he corrects in what may actually be a bad pun.

She definitely wouldn't be able to tell.
"Is... that why it's moving?"
no subject
In other words, the way his face moves does have an affect on the patterns.

"Do you ever take it off?"
no subject
After all, he'd lose his air of mystery if he gave up all his secrets.

"How do you eat?"
no subject
Not telling, it seems.

Then, like an afterthought, as though he weren't right there in front of her, "Maybe you don't have to."
no subject
"Hunh."
no subject
Convenient, but not that interesting. "Like not sleeping."

It's possible that her speculation is amusing him, not that it's readily apparent from his face or stance.

But after a moment, she does reach out, like she's going to try to touch the mask.
no subject
That means 'no touching'.
no subject
With a disappointed grumble to it, "Fine."
no subject
"Good."
no subject
"You're kind of touchy." It vaguely sounds like a question.

Elle starts giggling.
(It's good for when you don't have a point.)

Rorschach grunts and turns back to the window, cautiously.
Just in case she decides she needs to try and touch him again or something.
