Belar got some news from the security office yesterday, and hoo nelly is he not pleased. His Mongols were told very firmly that he was going to be away for a little while, because he didn't want to cause any issues in their immediate vicinity; he's in the Bar now with his sign up.

That makes her eyes narrow a little.

"Should I be concerned, then?"

"I plan on making an arrest as soon as I can," says Belar, "but in the meantime, if you run into people calling themselves Croup and Vandemar, one of whom is tall and insists on eating disgusting things in public to make people sick and the other of whom talks like an Englishman trying to be menacing, give 'em a wide berth."

"Oh. Them," she says, flatly.

"Yeah, them," says Belar. "They give you trouble too?"

There is a moment's calculation, and then she goes for honesty.

"Yes and no. At Mardi Gras, they...appeared at a table nearby-" that is important, because for all Camille is tall for a woman, fit and trained to fight, she is also far from stupid "-and started talking. I've been around enough that you always get talkers. Dangerous types that talk more than they do, and I put them into that category. When they weren't trying to tell me that Mexico was near Brazil, they were insisting that they have killed people with piranhas." The geography was what annoyed her more. "I argued with them, and pointed out their lack of logic and backtracking, but they didn't threaten me. Or stab me," she adds. "Just...annoyed. But I wasn't going to go searching them out, either."

Thugs are still thugs, even if other people are more dangerous.

"They tore a man's arm off out back and ate it," Belar says, "although he did wind up growing it back. They talk more than I see them act, but that just makes them utter assholes who live up to their reputation once in a while. And that's not welcome here."

Her eyebrows go up at both the 'tearing off of arm' and 'growing back'.

"...No. I can understand that."

Belar just shakes his head. "All kinds of people come here. All kinds of beings come here. All I ask is that they behave, dang it."

"I don't think anyone has ever told them 'no', and enforced it."

"I did once," says Belar, "but it looks as if it didn't stick. Might be time to turn them into prey animals for a while, see how they like that."

The mental image gets a smile, and then she shakes her head.

"Well. I'll...I'll let you deal with it, I think, and just stay out of the way."

"Probably a good idea," says Belar, "but if anything changes, I'll keep you posted."

"Thank you," and with that, she continues on her way.
