Belar got some news from the security office yesterday, and hoo nelly is he not pleased. His Mongols were told very firmly that he was going to be away for a little while, because he didn't want to cause any issues in their immediate vicinity; he's in the Bar now with his sign up.

Belar considers this, and then nods. "That's pretty impressive," he says. "I'm guessing you must've have one serious load of responsibility back home, with all that capability and training."

They don't really have angels on Gara; most of the 'spirit world' is of significantly lesser caliber than what most Terrans would consider angelic. Still, Belar's familiar with the concept.

Kratos flinches a little at that. "Cruxis--the angelic organization--is the guiding force of our world. I may be one of the Four Seraphim and thus have certain authoritative responsibilities within it, but I ultimately merely have to obey the orders of Cruxis' leader."

Again his tone is emotionless, a recitation only.

"Gotcha," Belar says. "I'll keep that in mind. Sounds like a heck of a position to be in."

Kratos shrugs minutely. Honestly, he has nothing to say that he's willing to discuss. "Every position of power comes with a price--and mine is hardly comparable to yours."

"My... preoccupation matters little, though. If I can aid you in any way, sir..."

"I appreciate the offer," Belar says. "I'll definitely let you know should the situation arise."

"My name's Belar, by the way."

Kratos waves that off slightly. "Simply Kratos." He doesn't hold with ridiculous titles.
