Neither Man in Black is going to be found waving back right there in the open, but Mairi gets friendly grins just the same, which is a lot more than most people get.

K turns to Zed. "We're going to have to get Bob a cigar."

Zed grunts, amused.

"And by the way...thanks for the wedding gift." The two agents get a very thankful sideglance as she gets up onto a barstool and a glowing bottle of formula appears on the bartop, right next to a mug of crackly Cocoa. Little miss Mairi keeps babbling happily at both of the agents before getting plied to happyhungry silence sucking down the formula. "What's been new with you two lately?"

"Prank War," K sighs. "Got two warring races, going at each other with whoopie cushions, rubber chickens, and worse."

Zed just growls.

"Pbbbbht." Oh look, Mairi just made a comment around the bottle.

With some of the formula.

"Tabloid Journalist Feeding Frenzy...over this little missy."

Guess how many of them have ended up finding themselves on a fast pirate ship to nowhere.

Zed grunts. ALL of them he'd guess.

"Getting on the bad side of a Guardian and a Command.com?" he growls. "They must have one hell of a death wish."

"A Guardian with Keytool abilities no less." Ofcourse, if you asked anyone in Mainframe which of the married couple were scarier... Most would say Dot is the scarier one.

"Ofcourse, Bob hasn't found out what I've done with them yet. So that's our little secret." Dot replies. "It's been everything from love life questions, to how Bob's powers have affected Mairi."

Zed chuckles. Striking terror into others always warms his heart.

K frowns a little, as he lets Mairi make a grab for his finger if she wants. "Powers affecting her? Nothing serious?"

"Nothing too serious...she had a slower development than most alphas. All the keytool code and abilities had to compile with her."

"=D!" Goes the little sprite wiggling to grab the finger with both tiny little pudgy hands.

"She did develop some abilities pre-natal, nothing harmful to her."

"Well, aren't you the little achiever," K tells Mairi with a grin. Then to Dot, "The kind of abilities you'd expect, or is she going to have a set all her own?"

"Pbbhhtbee!"

"So far, all of her abilities have been energy related." Dot replies, bouncing Mairi a little gently, with much delight. "So it looks like she's just going to be inheriting the abilities that already exist in keytools."

*hic* Pop! Like that golden bubble that appeared around Mairi for a split second there.

Zed boggles. "What the hell was that?"

"A very, very small energy sheild." Dot replies. "Mairi did start developing keytool abilities while pre-natal."

One must wonder what's going through Zed's mind right now.

Actually, what's going through Zed's skull right now are the MiB codes against recruiting potential Agents from right out of the crib.

Yeah. It's come up before.

Ah well. He can patient.

"Now that is a quite a feat, young lady," K informs Mairi, 'accidentally' letting her finally catch up with finger.

He, the Guardian Collective and Barbara Gordon are going to have to fight over who gets to recruit Mairi when she comes of the age to choose.

It will be a fight everyone will pay to see.

"She is an amazing little girl."

"Eeeeee!" She's not developed enough physically to attempt a nomming of the finger, but Kay's digit is no small source of wonder.

It'll be a fight all right, but Zed isn't worried. He intends to fight dirty.

Ok, yes, the Collective and Gordon will probably be fighting dirty too, but Zed will be fighting dirtier.

"Uh oh," K smiles. "I might be in trouble here."

And sure enough it looks like Mairi's got that finger in a death grip.
