Ramon is in the bar and is not in a good mood at all. No particular reason, he just gets like that sometimes. Company could either make it worse, or better, depending on who you are and what you have to say. Either way, he'd like to talk to someone because being pissed off on your own is never as much fun.

"Usually a good idea. Some of the others I've met here don't keep their more human consciousness when they turn, and even my kind has trouble when they're new."

It could be the nicotine making him more amiable, but he's amused that he and Ramon are having an actual conversation.

No one's more surprised than him. Admittedly, he hadn't had a problem with Jason until he tried to kill Bianca. But that was a long time ago and he's not the type to hold a grudge, right?

...oh. Wait.

'I dind't know there were different types. I thought one werewolf was pretty much the same as another.'

Funny: the two of them never had any direct issues with each other, but they have problems with each other all the same.

"Aside from differences in power,so did I. Until I came here. But that's Milliways for you."

It probably says a lot about them, that.

'Are you powerful?'

He opens a new pack of smokes and lights another off the end of the one he's holding.

'Compared to the others.'

Jason lets out an irritable breath, snubbing out the remnants of his cigarette and picking up his beer again. He doesn't like making that sort of admission to Ramon.

"I just asked you to get me a gun." The word is spoken with obvious distaste. "What do you think?"

'Oh yeah.'

He smirks, unashamedly amused.

'I forgot. That must be...annoying, for you.'

Wow. That was quick. Right back to not liking the bastard.

"Look, I'm in a city that has several hundred werewolves alone living in it, and only a handful of them are alphic."

'And don't you just wish you were one of them?'

Heh.

He barely can contain the resulting growl.

"At least I'm not getting challenged every other week."

He's reaching. While it may be true, his worries usually run along the lines of not getting the shit kicked out of him as the alphas struggle their way to the top.

'And that says it all.'

Ramon is, on his world, about as alpha as it gets. He feels he's in a good position to point out Jason's failures.

'If you were alpha material, you'd welcome challenges. Best to just stay out of the way so you don't get hurt, mmm?'

And Ramon hit the nail on the head. He wasn't alphic, so he tried just staying out of the way. But even that didn't work, and without someone backing him he wasn't strong enough to hold his own.

And he hates it and he hates Ramon for pointing it out.

He pushes back his chair and stands, glaring at Ramon. "Let me know when you get the stuff in."

He chuckles - he might never stop chuckling, after hearing that - and waves a hand vaugely.

'Sure, sure. Run along then.'

Jason turns with a silent snarl and stalks away. He wants to hit Ramon, and that isn't going to help him kill Raina and Gabriel.

He mutters, "Fucking asshole," under his breath and heads outside.
