Ramon is in the bar and is not in a good mood at all. No particular reason, he just gets like that sometimes. Company could either make it worse, or better, depending on who you are and what you have to say. Either way, he'd like to talk to someone because being pissed off on your own is never as much fun.

He bites his lower lip and looks around him nervously, then pushes to his feet -beer in hand- and moves to stand in front of Ramon's table. He clears his throat.
"Ramon, right?"
no subject
'...Jason?'
He thinks he got that right. It's been a while and a lot has happened.
no subject
"Yeah. It's been awhile." He fidgets a moment, then gestures to the open chair. "May I?"
no subject
'Sure.'
Beat.
'This is unexpected.'
To say the least.
no subject
Still seems like a fun thing to do, even if his friends haven't long since gone.
He sits, pulling the beer bottle to his lips. "Yeah. Uh...yeah."
He takes a breath and looks evenly at Ramon. "Might as well not beat around the bush. I have a question for you about...business."
no subject
He smiles slowly. 'Business' means Jason wants something from him and that always gives him the upper hand. In his mind, if nowhere else.
He waves a hand in that universal gesture of go on.
'I'm listening.'
no subject
He's done enough swallowing of his pride and bowing down to people stronger than him. It's time to take matters into his own hands.
He surreptitiously glances around again, keeping his voice low. "I need a gun," he says buntly. "Hand gun; something powerful."
no subject
He doesn't sound surprised, or curious, or anything. He doesn't need to know why the man wants it.
'When?
Is it a human you're trying to kill?
And do you have the money?'
The last question is, to him, the most important.
no subject
He'd been saving it for a place for Khemrys, but now...
"No. I'd need special ammo. Glaser Safety Rounds is what a friend of mine uses, but I think she tips them with silver. It'd be a custom order for you, I'd think."
He takes a long swallow of his beer. "As soon as you can get them...I'm not looking to wait long."

But she is in a 'watch-people-who-look-like-they're-in-a-bad-mood' kind of feeling today.
It happens.
no subject
...though there is something to be said for the watcher in question to be Elle. He remembers their last conversation.
'Problem?'
no subject
"Nope," she answers, with no change in her expression or in the direction of her gaze.

Why do people think she should have reasons for things?
no subject
'It's because you want to buy me a drink, isn't it?'
Play along, its the only option.
no subject
"I wasn't thinking about it."
In case he was wondering.
no subject
He quirks a smile.
'So you should.'

"Who pissed in your cheerios?"
no subject
'Do I look like I eat Cheerios? Seriously?'
Please.
no subject
She pushes a bottle at him and twists the top off hers, taking a long swig.
no subject
One corner of his mouth quirks upwards but it could hardly be called a smile.
'Come to tease me some more?'
no subject
She gives him an inscrutable look.
"Is that what you thought I was doing? Teasing you?"
no subject
Maybe not at the time. Maybe not two minutes ago.
Ramon, when in a mood, could never be accused of being rational.
'I didn't say I minded.'
Only, if she was? Then he does.
no subject
She slits her eyes at him, playful.
"Like bring a beer to an acquaintance who looks like he needs a beer."
no subject
'You were stringing me along.'
And drinks.
