A cowboy walks into a bar.

Only when said cowboy orders his usual whiskey, he gets a little something extra.

(Or, you know, a lot something extra.)

Bewildered beyond measure (and now HATLESS, WHUT) Ben's on a stool.

"You mean you didn't join up with the British Royal Navy?" She smiles; starts folding up the paper (it's the National Enquirer; the cover has a fuzzy picture of something furry and three-headed). "I'm shocked."

In the way where she isn't, at all.

"The wig is a nice touch, too," she tells him, and she's grinning outright now, setting the Enquirer on the bar.

"What did you do to her?" she asks, pragmatically.

And still extremely amused.

She squints at him, a little, at the 'ponies' comment -- but she lets it go.

"I've been told she likes holidays and costumes," Liz says, not entirely unsympathetic. "You'll probably get your hat back."

Liz stares, for a minute, at the sparkly pony disclosure.

Then she says, "You know, maybe it was closed-minded of me, but I never would have taken you for a My Little Pony fan."

She rolls her eyes, but not in a way where it's especially cranky. "Yeah," she says. "All that bonding over guns and black hats, it was a lie."
