(no subject)

That owl is --

-- yes, that one there --

-- it is eying you something fierce.

Or it might not be, that might just be the way its face is stuck, but it --

-- oop, there goes its head, 270 degrees.

(Show-off.)

Seriously, though.

It was definitely staring at one point.

This owl stares back. Blinking slowly, adjusting her wings.

She's amazed that there's another owl in the bar.

This is new.

New is good.

From the rafters, the tawny owl cocks her head just so, one eye regarding the snowy white bird on the bar.

Her beak moves, but no sound comes out. She settles for clapping it together a few times.

The tawny owl tilts her head a bit farther, her feathers plumping up as she sighs.

Walking on the bar? Don't they frown on that?

Olga's wings rise and fall in the owl analogue of a shrug. What the hell. If they don't like it, they can ask us to leave.

She leans her weight, tipping forward into empty space, letting the air catch under her wings. There is no sound at all as she descends to the bar.

Olga resettles her wings and looks around. The bar looks different from this angle, through these eyes.

She blinks, swivelling back to face her new friend. Her beak claps in the air and a piercing, gravelled cry comes from in her chest, like she hasn't used this voice in a thousand years.

Olga's eyes close, wrinkling tight at the corners. The owl equivalent of a grin.

Now.

Who do we have to bite to get some fresh killed rodent around here?
