After being scarce for awhile, Bill is finally down in the main bar again.

Boo's been doing better, and he's been feeling restless, so he's out getting some air.

Sitting at the counter with a Coke and a ham sandwich, he's keeping an eye out for people he knows, people who may or may not want to kill him, and even new faces as he hasn't been downstairs much lately.

"Just some wine. Now how are you and Kate doing?"

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"Bar?"

Bar provides a glass for Demeter and Bill picks at the leftover of his sandwich.

"We're good. Boo's doin' better, an' me an' Kate are... we're alright."

"Would all of you like to take a small vacation? I could find a nice house by the beach for you, it might do you a lot of good."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"Vacation? That'd be nice," He smiles at the offer, then starts to shake his head.

"I appreciate it, but I got somethin' goin' on here I can't leave."

Even if he'd really like to.

"Is there anyway that I can help you with anything?"

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"You've already helped us out a lot. Don't seem right t'keep asking."

He gives her another smile, not wanting to draw anyone else into the mess he's in.

"I'm glad to do more, there's no limit."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"Thanks for offerin'."

He just can't accept. Not for the situation that's going on now, anyways. Maybe he can think of some other way she can help Kate, or Boo.

"Gonna keep the vacation idea in mind, I'll mention it to Kate." He hesitates a moment before adding, "We uh, we kinda missed our anniversary."

What he doesn't know is she's already mixed up in it,

"Good, just tell me where you'd like to go and I'll make something work for you. Then you should celebrate it."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"When I get some time I definitely will."

He thinks a moment, then asks, "You're around here a lot, huh?"

[wheatencrown]

"I try to be though I will be less as Fall nears. A note will always find me."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"Oh. I was wonderin' if you keep an eye on Kate, if you see her around the bar."

[wheatencrown]

"Of course, I was planning on doing that anyway."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"Thanks. M'not -- I can't be down here with her, so I worry 'bout her. S'good to know someone else is lookin' out for her."

[wheatencrown]

"Always. I love you both so much and want to see you happy."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"So do I."

He wants so much to make Kate happy, and still feels sometimes like he's not doing a good enough job.

Demeter draws him into another tight hug.

Bill returns it, the embrace helping him find his smile again.
