After being scarce for awhile, Bill is finally down in the main bar again.
Boo's been doing better, and he's been feeling restless, so he's out getting some air.
Sitting at the counter with a Coke and a ham sandwich, he's keeping an eye out for people he knows, people who may or may not want to kill him, and even new faces as he hasn't been downstairs much lately.

...or not, as the case may be. Ramon tosses his smokes down on the counter next to the man, then leans against it, facing Bill with a dark expression.
'I believe you have something of mine.'
no subject
"Ramon, hey, guess we outta talk."
He also manages to keep his voice level and his eyes on the man.
no subject
Talk.
'Talking isn't really high on my agenda with you, Bill. Where's my gun?'
He likes that gun.
no subject
What little piece he has here.
"Look, I'm sorry for the way things happened in the stables, but looks like you're doin' alright."
no subject
He repeats his words back to him again but this time its more surprised than sarcastic.
'What the fuck have you got to be sorry about? You pulled a gun on me. You think I'm going to apologise when I return the favour?'
Please.
He leans closer, his expression dark and his tone quiet, but angry.
'You have no idea whether I'm alright or not. I won't be alright until that bitch gets what's coming to her. Now I'll ask you again - where is my gun?'
no subject
He did go back, though, not that he thinks it'll mean much to Ramon that he did.
When the distance between them closes more Bill's own expression shifts and it doesn't match Ramon's, but it has it's own quiet edge to it.
"You leave her alone. Was just a stupid argument that got outta hand, you both can leave it at that."

"Hey, Ben, how's it goin'?"
no subject
Why wouldn't it be? He moves over so he's closer to Bill.
"Bill's been good too?"
no subject
Which is mostly true, minus the whole thing with Kate Barlow and Ramon.
Bill looks at his sandwich then back to Ben.
"You have anything to eat yet?"
no subject
"Not yet."

She wraps him in a huge hug since he looks like he needs it.
no subject
"Thanks for stoppin' by. Meant a lot to Kate an' Boo."
no subject
She leans back and sits down beside him.

So she sat, and watched.
(Leather 'safety' flipped off her gun.)
When Ramon finally stalked off she breathed a quiet sigh of relief, watching from her safe vantage until he was out of sight. Once she was sure he was gone, she gathered herself up, and moved towards the bar.
"...Bill?"
no subject
"Hey."
no subject
"You all right?"
The unspoken 'he didn't hurt you, did he?' is clear on her features.
no subject
"M'fine."
Obviously she saw at least a part of the exchange, and he's glad she stayed out of it.
"How're you doin'?"
no subject
"What'd he want?"

She sits down on the stool next to Bill, orders a drink.
"Hey."
no subject
"Hey, how's it goin', detective?"
no subject
Her drink comes, but she doesn't lift it right away.
"And yourself?"
no subject
"M'alright."
He's alive, at least. For three more days.
