Since leaving Milliways the first time Diana has been traveling steadily east.
By plane. Then by train.
It has been a very interesting experience, and in certain cases very -- enlightening.
And yet she is still not at all disappointed to open the door to a local cafe and find Milliways waiting on the other side.
The chairs here, for example, are much more comfortable. And the fireplace contains fish.
It's a different sort of interesting, and one that is arguably more familiar than not. Such is the life of an Amazon and member of the Justice League.
Even one currently wearing slacks and a solid-colored blouse rather than her more iconic uniform.

He does smile back, through a bite of apple, and wave.

Regardless, her smile broadens and she offers a wave in return.
[ooc: Post-Infinite Crisis Diana's eyes reverted back to blue. It is in her userinfo.]

Her smile remains warm and friendly, and it is no lie.
But if the boy is shy she has no wish to intrude.

"Are you new here?"
no subject
"I'm still settling in, yes. Does it show so plainly?"
Or is she just an unfamiliar face in a sea of the familiar?

Being Bound has the surprisingly pleasant effect of getting to know the regular visitors.

"You're able to keep track of so many comings and goings? I've had people tell me that it cannot be done."
She flicks a glance over the crowd, shaking her head slightly.
"I'm not sure I've seen the same face twice, yet, and I've been here on several visits."
no subject
"It takes time...and...well, usually there's other stuff going on, so when you're down here, you don't pay a lot of attention to who is coming or going." Pause. "It's nice though, lot of different places and people to see."

She laughs a little, quietly.
"Are you one of the Bound, then?"
no subject
A little finger math. "Over 6 months now."
no subject
That would be a little bit of a sop, at the least.
"Or have you been left entirely on your own?"

Is there enough room to ride?

This question is particularly relevant to her interests, particularly given current developments in her own world.

"Stories do tend to grow in the telling, still it is something I'm curious about. Perhaps I'll see if there are any patrons remaining who remember such a day."
Peter Pettigrew, wherever he is now, may be interested to know how his own story of creating the outdoors has grown in the telling.
"Miss Demeter?"

Particularly not after retreating from the world, from the Amazons.
From Diana herself.
Still -- stranger things have happened, she supposes, and will continue to do so.

You don't get much farther than the end of the multiverse.
"I don't know how many other Greek gods visit here, I know Belar's a bear god from another world, but he's on Security here. ...I think he likes it here because they serve his favorite beer."
no subject
They'll be back. Diana just doesn't know it yet.
"I'd heard that Milliways serves everyone's favorite everything. It's good to know that wasn't exactly inaccurate."
