Since leaving Milliways the first time Diana has been traveling steadily east.
By plane. Then by train.
It has been a very interesting experience, and in certain cases very -- enlightening.
And yet she is still not at all disappointed to open the door to a local cafe and find Milliways waiting on the other side.
The chairs here, for example, are much more comfortable. And the fireplace contains fish.
It's a different sort of interesting, and one that is arguably more familiar than not. Such is the life of an Amazon and member of the Justice League.
Even one currently wearing slacks and a solid-colored blouse rather than her more iconic uniform.

"It's not really a location one expects to find fish, is it?"

"Your world lacks oceans and rivers? Or is it some type of asteroid colony? I've seen a few of those, though I've not met anyone from them here. Not yet, at least."
As to the future, who can say? It takes all kinds, and most of those kinds seem to find there way to Milliways.

He's improved but still pale and the bruises on his wrist are taking their time healing. When he sees Diana, she gets a small smile from him.

Then, of course, she looks more than mildly concerned.
"You look ill, indeed. Did you come to some grief in your own world?"

"Why? What happened?"
Other considerations are more important in the scheme of things. For now.

She does, however, feel as if it might be rude to interrupt.
Perhaps when Kate is finished playing.

"Oh hi there," She smiled and self consciously tucked one of her own black strands behind her ear.
no subject
It's accompanied by a smile. Kate's self-consciousness is difficult for Diana to miss.

Then she smiles very slightly.
"Bar's translation services do not extend toward the written word? I hadn't thought to check for myself."
A clear oversight, or so one might presume.

"Not silly at all. While there's something to be said for a good translation, even the very best may have different connotations of meaning to the original. I prefer original texts when they are available, myself."

Which is why her gaze might settle on Tyler's table a little more often than it does the rest of the patrons.
no subject
He does catch the gaze settling upon him for far longer than other patrons with all the air of a puppy who has caught a scent, and is unable to determine if it is friend or foe.
no subject
Still and all --
If he ever happens to catch Diana's gaze with his own, he is likely to fall on the receiving end of a kind and acknowledging smile.
