Outside in a bit, Carlisle's hosting his team meeting.
For now, though, he's sitting at the bar playing with the laces on his baseball glove.
Carlisle gets fidgety when he is enthusiastic about something.
[ooc: some threads potentially still in progress in the team meeting, but it is up! Carlisle is open for tags whenever, if you forgive the family!drama that keeps dragging me downstairs.]
[OOC again: My phone lets me edit and things! This post will be open through tomorrow, since tonight is made of fail.]

"Do you know many of the players on your team? Aside from your daughter?"

"Duck is on your team. She's very sweet," Meg adds. "And Agent Booth, who I've met a handful of times, is nice. And Duo Maxwell, who is a friend of my friend Laura's. I've met him once or twice, I think."
If that's helpful.

"Hello. Can I help you?"
no subject
"I'm going to watch the game and haven't seen a mitt before."
There, no mention of Death, Mogget would be proud actually Mogget would probably be rude.

It doesn't look very practical.

"What's it for?"
no subject
Call it decades of experience?
"I should assume you are unfamiliar with it."

Of course, she thinks he's actually doing something with the glove.
no subject
Probably far less exciting to the blonde woman than to Carlisle himself.
"Hello, young lady."
Carlisle doesn't appear much older, if any, than Elle herself. Old habits.
no subject
So it is a little disconcerting.
"Hello." Elle echoes the inflection precisely, and her eyes drop down to the glove again.
"What're you doing?"
no subject
Even if she doesn't follow the sport, most people in his world can recognize a baseball glove.

Carlisle wants his glove back, Jasper.
no subject
"That today?"
As if he doesn't already known. He's only around because Alice is about somewhere for the meeting herself.
no subject
Giving Jasper a considering glance, "I hope you're not too worried about us. Alice and I are prepared."

Tomas helped her pick it out.
She may, however, be studying Carlisle's motions as she approaches. Just in case it is something she will be expected to do, as well.
And after a momentary pause --
"Hello. Carlisle."
no subject
The decision between 'X' and 'Laura' is still a bit much, so Carlisle uses neither.
"How are you doing today?"
no subject
"I have been practicing. For the game."
Beat.
"You are okay, too?"
