He's surprised, as he usually is, by how much faster time seems to move here than at home. It was quite mild when he was in for his last shift - sticking his head outside the back door tonight, he notices it's very definitely not mild anymore. It's only a few degrees about freezing in fact and that's why there can be only one special tonight.
Hot Chocolate with your choice of shot - Amaretto, Mint, Caramel, Hazelnut or Vanilla
He gets one for himself and wraps his hands around it as he takes his place behind the bar.
'Bar's open.'

He doesn't like this person. It can't be Dinah, surely? She wouldn't talk to him like that.
He makes the drink with bad grace. And she doesn't get froth or sprinkles.
'There,' he says, grumpily, banging it down in front of her hard enough that some slops over the side.

"You're very rude, you know."
no subject
OK, that's just too much.
'It's you that's rude. Stop talking to me like I'm dirt.'
no subject
Ergo, he is dirt.
"You're supposed to treat your superiors with respect."
no subject
Bitch please.
'What the fuck has gotten into you?'
no subject
She says it casually, almost matter-of-fact. It's true, she could.
And she takes comfort in it, finally trying the drink.

'I think screaming at me right here would attract some attention you don't want,' he says, bravely.
Though she probably could kill him and right now, he's not sure she wouldn't.

"What makes you think I'm worried about that?"
no subject
Maybe he has got the wrong person.
'What's your name?'
no subject
She is going to die of shame when she's better.
"I am the princess."
no subject
'Princess? Of what?'
no subject
"Of the Fire Nation. And very shortly, a lot more than that."
no subject
'Then I guess I mistook you for someone else.'
He doesn't apologise for it however.
'But I think I'm the only queen around here. Why don't you go and look down your nose at someone else.'
no subject
And, apparently, the hot drink on her bare hands.
"You mind your manners, boy."
And she stalks off.
Later, when the fever subsides a little, Dinah is going to regret not dying from it.

Logic is telling him he must have mixed her up with someone else but his gut says no, that was Dinah.
He's hurt and just wants to go home. The rest of his shift seems to drag and he exits the bar as soon as he can.
