Xaldin is sitting in the bar with a sign. Xigbar wrote the sign and it reflects his taste in speech. However the sentiment is correct.

"Good day, Mia." he stands and offers her a chair rather less casually than he did for Teja, hand fluttering a little. He'd like to do the belly-touch but won't without permission.

"Good day, Xaldin," she says, taking the offered seat, her hands on her belly.

"You were right. It's amazing."

He detangles his hand gently so that he can take his glove off and set it back on her belly without the glove in the way. "Yes. I am not surprised. How have you been?"

It's amazing. It's not the first time he's had one hand on a pregnant woman's belly, but it's as amazing this time as it was the first.

"Healthy, happy, but anxious and a little tired of always having to run to the bathroom."

She smiles, looking at Xaldin's hand on her belly.

"Only seven weeks left."

"So soon - I had not realized I was gone so long. Forgive me?" he finally pulls his hand away and digs in his pocket. An anklet is eventually produced, "Here. It has extra protect spells in it. For the baby."

"You know I do."

She holds her hand out for the anklet.

"You didn't have to, Xaldin. Thank you so much."

"I enchant every item I carry with me." Xaldin says quietly as he puts the anklet in her hand "It is no problem."

"I'll keep this with me until he's born."

She sits back again and folds her arms over her belly.

"It's hard to believe that it won't be long, but at the same time it feels like it's not soon enough."

"I can only imagine." Xaldin says "And only so much as a man may at that."

"It's probably easier for Draco to imagine, fatherhood just around the corner for him. He's very excited."

Xaldin nods again "I would be too." it's a little sad.

Mia briefly presses her lips together.

"Did you get my Christmas present?"

She hopes he doesn't mind some winter wear.

"I am afraid not." he admits with a bit of shame "I lost track of time outside."

"It's all right. I left all of the Christmas gifts here."

It should be ~~whatever the mun wants him to get~~ calling out to him with Mia's signature.

It is a very warm scarf indeed and by the smile crinkling the corners of his eyes he loves it. "Thank you, Mia. I have always been disdainful of cold."

"Then I hope you don't mind the warming charm I put on it."

She knows it's a touchy subject, but she had to put the "very" in "very warm scarf" somehow.

And she had put a cooling charm on the one for Vexen, so it balances out?

"I do not. I am usually sick over Christmas and warmth is very comforting to me."

"Good. My last Christmas was a good one spent with my in-laws. Though Draco freaked out when I started noticing Braxton-Hicks contractions."

He focused on the last word you see...

Xaldin nods again. He's not really sure what to say but he's very happy to listen to her.

Well here, she'll give him an idea.

"How have you been since we last spoke?"

"Busy. World to world seeking somewhere we can use. Spending time with Xigbar and with Princess. Worrying about Zexion."

"Sounds like it."

And now to ask:

"Have you been in contact with Vexen here?"

He looks away from her and says "He might be a clone. He is not - as I remember."

This doesn't really make much of a difference to Mia, who never had a Vexen to compare to before.

"You won't disregard his mission, will you?"

"I spoke with him once." Xaldin says gently "And I have been gone since then. I found it disturbing, Mia. Please don't push me to promise you something without understanding what you are asking."
