As lovely as Okinawa is, there's a few things Dinah misses about her life in America. The biggest candidate is her family; her mother and her uncles, who write, but not often enough. It leaves a space for her to want to fill.

The other thing, she never thought she'd miss in February, but she finds she is, as That Holiday nears. As this is why there is now a sign on the notice board:#

Valentine's Bouquets

Romance, friendship, family, say it with flowers this year. Bouquets, arrangements and stems delivered to your loved ones this Valentines Day.

She takes a seat near the board, but she also leaves a collection of order forms and an envelope to gather them in.

Still, Dinah's got a grin for him. "Did you find an atlas?"

[OOC: I have terrible timing, because I'm too tired to stay awake. Tomorrow!]

"Better," Urquhart says. "I got a little globe from the bar, which shows what the earth is really like. Scotland, Japan, the Antipodes, everywhere. Of course, it doesn't tell me about the time when it was all still one."

"You'd probably need a palaeontology textbook for that," Dinah remarks. "Most globes go for the current time. Which I guess means the time current for a particular patron around here? I don't know."

"Do you think the continents moved far from 1260 to around 2000?" Urquhart asks.

Dinah shakes her head. "No," she says, "I don't. But country names and political borders have. My country didn't even exist in your time."

"That's one of those in the New World, North or South America?" Urquhart says. He has been looking at his globe for a while.

"There's a lot of countries there."

"One of the ones in the north," Dinah says. "Across the middle of the continent."

"What is there?" Urquhart says, trying to remember named from the globe. "Chicago? But that's a city, I think?"

Dinah nods. "Chicago's in Illinois, in the middle. I come from Gotham, which is on the far East coast."

Never mind that Gotham may not have been on Urquhart's globe.

"I don't remember that name," Urquhart says, "but I didn't learn them all by heart yet."

"No reason you'd have to," Dinah says. "It doesn't exist on all worlds, for some reason."

"If worlds are different, why not cities?" Urquhart agrees.
