There is a tall, leggy blonde leaning at the bar, sipping coffee and watching people.

She is wearing jeans and sneakers, and a low-cut, bust-hugging blue shirt.

She's only existed in this form since the morning, and she's very curious about life from a woman's perspective.

She might have a switch-blade knife in her pocket, but no way is she concealing a crossbow anywhere.

Approach to entertain her?

"Several people," she says, sipping her own coffee. "Some of them live up to their first appearances, others show weaknesses, and some are delightfully surprising."

Beat.

"Of course, enough start out boring and never get any better."

"Don't I know it," she murmurs.

"Some prove to be nothing but disappointments."

"To disappoint, they'll have to have woken a certain expectation," she says. "They are the most annoying, of course. I have no time for them."
