"Oh, you're kidding me..."
Those are the first words out of Mia's mouth once she realizes the door leading out of the nursery has been replaced by the door to Milliways.
Cepheus, you see, is hungry, and he's making it known that he's hungry with his not-so-subtle tugs on Mama's top and his fussing. She was actually just stepping out with him because she had forgotten his blanket in the living room.
Mia quickly picks one up from Miss Bar, makes sure the baby doesn't leave her indecent, and finds the restrooms to tend to his needs. She leaves some time later with a mostly-happy and mostly-asleep baby and makes her way to an armchair by the fireplace.
[OOC: Not plotlocked, but waiting for a particular thread and working on a project, so spotty tagging until I'm done. Feel free to run into Mia at any point, even if it means embarrassing the living daylights out of her.]

Ooops. The not atually son seeing the actually son pull the shirt too far!
".........................
he needs to learn not to grope in public."
Also:
BABY!

"That will come sometime when he can manage solid food," Mia says, covering herself with the blanket. "Hello, Kaworu."
Give her a moment. Baby's getting situated.

To more parts than he had ever asked to see, really. Look at that angel flush!
The first time he saw girl-chest was not supposed to be this way, okay?no subject
At least it wasn't a result of flipping through Hot Girl News..."Sorry about that," she says when the baby's being taken care of under the blanket. "This replaced my living quarters and he's...rather insistent."
Welcome to the most awkward conversation a boy and his not-mom could have!

He may or may not actually read those, but just prank random people with the magazines. It can be kinda funny haha what. You get bored when you're dead."Hey, you do what you gotta do," he says. "As well, it means a fated meeting." How legendary sounding!
Or it would if he wasn't currently trying to figure out why babies apparently look rather strange.

If fate is interchangeable with Murphy's Law.
"I'll be sure to properly introduce him once he's finished. Ideally he won't take long."
It could be worse, really. At least Mia's used to nursing by now. That first week or two was uncomfortable, to say the least.

......blame Babel?

It's not long afterward that the baby's done and Mia excuses herself to make herself decent. She comes back shortly, decently dressed and the baby swaddled in the blanket.
"Now, to properly introduce the two of you. Kaworu, this is Cepheus."

He cannot think of a proper descriptor, however. Cute? No, babies look odd. This part of him look like your same part of it? No, she may be insulted being compared to an odd thing. Umm -
"....he looks... babyish."
We demand to know your damage, Tabris. Sheesh.

They know that tone babies take when they're hungry.
Mia's fetching of a blanket confirms that.
"Hello Ms Ausa—"
"—How are you—"
"—And your son?"
they say quietly so that Cepheus will not wake, but loud enough that Mia will hear them.

"That does seem to be—"
"—How this place works."
And, together, they say,
"Unexpectedly."
Fortunately for the twins they've yet to enter the bar in their Cobra uniforms, though the odds of that are low simply because they don't use them often—their place is in the boardroom, in business suits.

And then, "How are you?"
no subject
"The last two weeks have been quiet."
Mostly because their Top Client is busy, leaving them to deal with their other clients.
no subject
No she doesn't.
no subject
"Oh? What happened?"
This time the looks of curiosity are genuine.

"I've...been caring for my baby."
It wasn't obvious?

Mia's tummy shrunk!

It might take her a bit to notice Fry, though. Mia likes these peaceful moments with Cepheus, as they're still somewhat few and far between.

"Watdat?"
no subject
"He's my baby. His name is Cepheus."
no subject
"Hey Mia." Guppy appears behind his youngster.
no subject
She knows it won't be long before such a name won't be a challenge to him.
"Hey Guppy. How are you?"
no subject
"Would you mind if Alex gets a closer look at him? He's not really seen many newborns and we're trying to prepare him."
no subject
"Oh certainly. Here, let me just move him for a better look."
Mia carefully shifts position so that she's kind of sitting sideways in the armchair, one leg propped underneath to help support the baby. She unfolds the top blanket a little as well.
