Ben keeps a cautionary Watch her every second, then, because she's a stone-cold businesswoman to himself; Spangler's far from stupid.

(And if Spangler does slip, well, he should've been more careful; Sassafras, with her artful masks of sugar-sweet charm and doe-eyed innocence, should never be underestimated.)

So he just nods as he wipes down the counter, half-smirking to himself.

Moist notices that smirk and says as he takes another long sip of her milkshake,

"You see, the two of us are rather alike. It's rather harder to trick someone who uses the same tricks. Don't you agree?"

"That woman," Ben says, without looking up, "may or may not know more tricks than you and me combined."

He looks up then, and smiles.

"I happen to like her quite a bit because of that."

"Wouldn't put it past her and yes, that makes her such a pleasure to be around,"

This is why Moist likes Ben, he understands these things.
