Olive finds herself behind the bar (not for the first time), and today she's in a much better mood.

She contemplates the board, then writes: 

Sing your order [preferably in rhyming couplets], get half off.

Olive hums quietly to herself as she cleans down the bar, waiting for customers. This is a familiar scenario--considering this bar is at the end of the universe-- but a comforting one.

"Compared to your life, they probably think theirs' is pretty normal?" Sunshine smiles.

"Normal is different for everyone. What do you do back in your world, Olive?"

"I'm a waitress at a restaurant called the Pie Hole," says Olive, brightly.

"It's a great place."

"The Pie Hole," Sunshine repeats, smiling and tilting her head.

"You work with Ned."

Olive startles at the sound of the name.

"That's right. Guess you met him here."

"Yeah," she smiles. "Rare I get to meet another baker."

Well, another good baker. Another good baker with unfortunate abilities.

"He's a great one," Olive assures her.

"You should come to the shop sometime."

"I'd love to," she grins. "Maybe get some ideas for new recipes."

It's not competition if you're friends and in another world.

"He's got some good ones," Olive agrees.

Some of his ideas are flukes, of course-- like that she's not the perfect woman for him.

"My specialties are also in the dessert field, but I'm not often making pies," Sunshine says. "Every Friday in spring, summer and autumn are pie days. Strawberry-rhubarb, cherry, apple... But mostly people come to Charlie's Coffeehouse for the toxic sugar-shock specials I make."
