Well, look who it is.
Joris enters Milliways with the faintly guilty air of someone possibly playing hooky. Maybe only possibly, though- he is still wearing his white demon-hunting vest, pockets loaded with ~supplies~, but it isn't being worn over the rest of his uniform. Instead, he's wearing a t-shirt with a movie logo, jeans, and sneakers.
Alright, maybe it isn't so much 'playing hooky', as 'Konstam is busy' and Joris needs someone to explain something to him. Or why else would you explain the very baffled look on his face?
He's just stumbled upon the frustrating mysteries of the opposite sex, and like most people, has come to a bar to find his answers.
... Thankfully he's too young to even be thinking of turning to hard drink.

"Joris, hello. It has been some time. How are you?"
Clearly you haven't been talking to Liz Sherman or the Winchesters.

A quick shrug, but Joris offers Coyote a slight smile. "I've been alright, though. Um. Mostly?" He bites his lip, then looks at her consideringly.
no subject
He clearly has something on his mind, but he'll spit it on on his own time.
no subject
That time would be now.
"-Look. Um. You're a girl, right? Ah- well, you are, but you'd know how they think?"
His cheeks are red, but there are few things that would ever render Joris speechless, and embarrassment would not be one of them, apparently.

She crosses her arms, which coincidentally displays her assets nicely.
"I do happen to be female," Coyote says. At the moment, anyway. "But I would hesitate before calling myself an expert on human women. They can be very puzzling."
Coyote is an expert on some topics involving human women, but she doubts Joris is asking about that just yet.

(And yes, he's not even asking about that sort of thing.)
"But even still- I have no idea why Elsie got upset at me just a little while earlier, and Konstam's busy, and..."
And you're convienently right here, Coyote.
no subject
Coyote does have plenty of experience with people being angry with her.

"Well. Elsie... Elsie's a cousin of Konstam's, so she's one of the Khans. She's my age, though- and she's also training to be a demon hunter. She'll be one of the best, when she finishes- she's gone out on missions and hunts already as well. We have classes together, and she's always been nice to me. Even when I first arrived at Khan Valley and my english wasn't very good, and everything was just so very different than what I was used to."
Elsie is apparently only second to Konstam in awesomeness, good-will, etc etc etc. Joris could go on and on-
But he has been learning to get to the point. Somewhat.
"Anyways, there's a new Phule's Company movie out-" That would be the logo on his t-shirt, it seems- "And Elsie likes those movies as well, so I asked her, and we went to go see it. After the movie we saw some of our other classmates were there, and Jehran asked if me and Elsie were on a date."
no subject
"And did you say yes or no?" Poor kid never had a chance. Both answers are wrong! And not saying anything is also wrong.

The look she's giving him indicates Coyote isn't sure why this girl likes Joris. But she'll give him the benefit of the doubt for being a clueless virgin.
no subject
When he's not being a clueless idiot?
... He might be starting to realize the 'clueless idiot' part right about now, though. The Look that Coyote's giving him is certainly educational on that point!
"That's maybe what she wanted?" Quietly. "Or- or I should have let her answer Jehran?"
no subject
As Coyote knows very well.
no subject
"But why couldn't she tell me that when I asked her what was wrong?"
no subject
She wanted you to read her mind, too. Girls usually want that.
no subject
"And how would I know that?"
no subject
It isn't a question.
no subject
"No."
"I mean.... well. Elsie and I have hung out before. With classes, and practice, and with other classmates. And sometimes we're at headquarters, when Konstam and her aunt Mahree are working on planning out a mission, and they want us there to help with the planning."
no subject
That should get him off the hook. And then of course, he'll have to answer the question of whether or not he wants to be on a date with her. But that isn't Coyote's problem.
no subject
(And Joris really wouldn't mind going on a date with Elsie! Its just something that's never come up before.)
no subject
no subject
But that just may be a lesson that Joris is going to have to learn all on his own. (There is something to be said about the School of Hard Knox.)
But at least she has cleared up most of his problem, so he takes a deep breath and lets it out, and is ready to move on.
"I haven't seen you since that whole mission with the casino in Las Vegas. You've been alright?"

Then he blinks, and looks at Coyote worriedly.
"Did we not get all the demons who were after you? The one at the casino and the people he had possessed. Are they after you?"
no subject
"My marriages are admittedly not quite like normal ones," she admits. "And no. I remain unmolested for the time being."
