Well, look who it is.

Joris enters Milliways with the faintly guilty air of someone possibly playing hooky. Maybe only possibly, though- he is still wearing his white demon-hunting vest, pockets loaded with ~supplies~, but it isn't being worn over the rest of his uniform. Instead, he's wearing a t-shirt with a movie logo, jeans, and sneakers.

Alright, maybe it isn't so much 'playing hooky', as 'Konstam is busy' and Joris needs someone to explain something to him. Or why else would you explain the very baffled look on his face?

He's just stumbled upon the frustrating mysteries of the opposite sex, and like most people, has come to a bar to find his answers.

... Thankfully he's too young to even be thinking of turning to hard drink.

William looks up from his book at the other boy and tries to figure out what he has in his pockets,

"You lost?"

Joris looks over at William, and then quickly shakes his head.

"Oh- no. I've been here before. A few times actually, though some of those weren't really on purpose. At least at first, though showing up here when I did really rather helped those times when it was unexpected." He spreads out his hands, then shrugs.

"But now I know the way along the Bounds to get here. And its been a while, but we've usually been too busy for me to come."


That vest is cut along the lines of an utility/military vest. Lots of pockets, plenty of supplies. All in white, with a black symbol placed over Joris' heart.

It looks useful and William nods as he follows that,

"Don't think I know what the Bounds are."

Oh, it is quite useful. Very useful. Which is why Joris wouldn't leave his world without it, even if he decided to forgo the rest of the uniform.

... And that's a question that requires a detailed answer. Joris bites his lip, thinking.

"Um. If you're here at Milliways, you know about other worlds then?"

"Been learning about them, yeah. They're confusing things. What do you have in your pockets?"

He's trying to see if he can recognize the symbol or at least figure out what it is.

Too young is not a problem, when you've got the patron saint god...

When you've got COYOTE to buy for you. Look, she's over there!

Joris really isn't looking for a drink!

But a friendly face and ear- that is much more along the lines of what he's looking for. And Coyote, you've been spotted!

Is it worrisome that Joris' smile upon spotting her is one of relief, and he heads right over?

It doesn't worry her, but it should worry anyone who worries about him.

"Joris, hello. It has been some time. How are you?"

Clearly you haven't been talking to Liz Sherman or the Winchesters.

He quickly shakes his head. "I haven't talked to anybody since that mission you took us to in Las Vegas. Things have been really busy back home, with Konstam getting married, than the new plans we've been working on since They're gone, and everything else. I haven't had a chance to come here at all!"

A quick shrug, but Joris offers Coyote a slight smile. "I've been alright, though. Um. Mostly?" He bites his lip, then looks at her consideringly.

It's doubtful if Joris remembers notebook-weird-than-fish-soda-normal-boy, but Tyler's in Milliways hiding from the guys at the Firehouse so he can wrap all of their gifts.

Why he has so many empty boxes, rolls of paper and tissue paper is certainly a question for... Aw heck, right now.

That would be a question for right now, indeed.

(Well, its certainly enough to distract Joris from other, much more baffling mysteries!)

"...Do you still have more things to get?"

"Nope, got all the shopping done, just wrapping them up." It takes Tyler a moment to look at Joris and stare at him before something goes on.

"We..we met a while ago right...it's..Jo..Joris?"

"And you're... Tylor, right?" Joris nods.

"Quite a while ago, I think- but I haven't been back here for a long while." He shrugs. "Everything back home's been busy for a while- Konstam and Vanessa were planning their wedding, then there were the new plans against the demons now that They are gone, and..."

Joris frowns slightly, then shrugs again. "Sometimes I think I'd wish Milliways was closer."

But that's not a sentiment he will spend much time on- wishes don't get you anywhere, and there are more pressing matters at hand.

Such as why the boxes Tyler has outnumber the gifts about five-to-one. "Did the shops give you extra boxes, then?"

Lorna looks up from her seat and her tea, giving the young man a smile. She has her own things to think about, but that can wait. In fact, she'd prefer it did. Talking to someone new was much better than brooding and worrying about something that was inevitable, and who knew, she might find a friend, which would definitely be worthwhile.

A friendly look and smile is something that would catch Joris' attention- even moreso than the green hair. (And here in Milliways, there are things even odder than hair color.) So even though Lorna isn't someone he knows, he will certainly give her a nod and friendly-enough smile back.

"Um. Hello."

"Hi. You looked thoughtful."

Lorna is a lot of things. Talkative is one. Subtle is not.

Joris has not quite yet learned one of those unofficial rules of Milliways, about how sometimes, its not safe to talk to strangers.

Odds are, he never will.

He is also talkative! And its doubtful that he will ever be subtle.

Joris' smile is a little hesitant, and comes with a shrug- but that is more of him trying to figure out exactly how to phrase things.

"Um. That's... sorta a good way to put it?" He bites his lip. "Could I ask you something? Sort of a situation, and the reasons why you think someone would be acting upset about something?"

We can't say for certain if he'll find any answers, but he will find a big green teen with a guitar, working his hesitant way through something by those Beatles guys.

The something is, in fact, Something.

Joris' world missed on the Beatles, alas. So, he really can't critique Enzo's playing one way or another.

But, he'll certainly pause as he's walking by to listen. (And perhaps to discreetly look Enzo over. Joris has been to Milliways before, but he has yet to run into a sprite.)

Woo is a funny word, which causes one to make funny faces.

"Joris," X says, approaching from the left.

She does not quite sound startled, but it's close.

At least she is not displeased?

"You are okay?"

"Laura!" Joris may sound a bit surprised- but at least its a pleasant sort of surprise. He nods quickly, smiling.

"I'm alright- I just haven't had a chance to get back here for ages. There was Konstam and Vanessa's wedding, then lots of planning for different sorts of missions against the demons now that They're gone, so I haven't had time to get back here." Joris blinks, then immediately looks contrite.

"Um. I'm sorry about that?"

X just looks at him.

"I do not think it is problematic. For me."

Beat.

"It is good to see you. Konstam is okay, too?"

"Everyone's fine. Even better than fine- Konstam and Vanessa are... happy, really."

Said with a slight amazement- as much as Joris likes Vanessa, and nearly worships Konstam, he's still trying to figure them out together as a couple. But even Joris can notice this much about the two of them.
