Alex wandered in, a small bag of coin in his hand. He headed straight for Bar, and set the bag on her. He patted Bar. "Payment due, and extra, Bar, for Lorna's tab, and mine, split evenly, please." He was feeling rather jovial. Things were going well for Lorna and he, and their adventures in space had gone from cramped and annoying to fun, comfortable, and profitable.

Alex glanced at the tab board to see his and Lorna's tabs rise. With a grin and a deep breath, he settled to a barstool and tapped Bar once more. "Can I have the New York Times, a glass of root beer, and some cobalt blue base lace weight yarn, with a circular size two."

The items appeared and he smiled as he settled in to read, knit, and drink.

"Sure. That sounds good." She stood up, offering her hand to Alex. "Do you want to try to get pregnant, if it's negative?"

He nodded, slowly, taking her hand and kissing it.

"I would, yes. If you are up for it, since you have to do most of the work. If not, I am fine without having a child. I just feel like... well, I think we're ready, and it would be awesome." He nodded as he walked with her.

She thought for a bit. "If we're not pregnant, then we'll wait until we've got our house built to get pregnant, so I can help more than just using my powers."

She went to the steps, then directed herself and Alex up them with her powers.

He nodded. "Makes sense." He held on to her, grinning, as she sent them arrowing upward.

"I love you, Lorna Dane."

"I love you too, Alex. I'm proud to be your wife."

she kissed him as they flew, stopping delicately once she was inside the room, shutting the door with her powers.

"I guess it's a good thing I was drinking coffee." She laughed a bit, before heading for their bathroom.

He bounced as he stepped in, and looked around, old habit, then smiled as he settled to a chair. "Always helps, yeah."

He was nervous.

Lorna was in the bathroom for about five minutes, before rushing out, test in hand. "Alex, Alex, oh my God I can't believe it!"

She handed him the test, with its little blue plus sign, a rather shocked expression on her face. Just because it was possible didn't mean she was expecting it.

He took it, and looked, and smirked.

"Woooohoooo!" He did a jig, caught her up and did another jig

"We're pregnant!"

Shock, awe, and hope shot through him, and as he hugged her tight, love for her and their unborn child to come shot through him.

"I love you baby, and I'll do everything I can to make this easier for you."

She laughed, kissing him eagerly. "I'll see if they have a uterus transfer device in the medical center, then."

His joy was infectious, and she was soon dancing eagerly along with him, and laughing. "I can't believe it! I mean, I can, I guess, but still! Surprise!"

He snickered and kissed her again. "Whatever it takes, love." He smiled softly, and danced with her, spinning around the room. "Surprise!"

He laughed as they hit the bed and fell onto it. "Lord... we're going to be parents. God really does have a sense of humor."

"Obviously." She kissed him deeply, joy and love making her want to be very close to her husband. "I hope this turns out okay. That I do right for our baby."

She squeezed Alex tightly, snuggling against him.

He smiled and snuggled her close. "We will, and it will be good. You and me and baby will be absolutely fine. We've got Guppy here to help us. It'll be fine."

"Guppy?"

She hadn't met Guppy yet, somehow.

He grinned. Doctor Guppy Sandhu. He works here, as well as on his Earth, and could likely give us some advice."

Alex kissed her. "A physician is a good plan."

"Well, yeah. It's not like we know Doctor Strange's number or anything."

Hopefully, there would be no need to have a sorcerer present during the delivery, but you really never could tell.

She moved her kisses to his neck, teasing the delicate skin there gently with her lips and teeth.

He chuckled. "Yeah. No housecalls, I'm guessing."

He arched an eyebrow and groaned lightly. "Mmm, someone feeling a little bouncy?"

"Well, we have a few months ahead of us where sex won't be on the docket. So we'd better get our fill now, while I'm still able to maneuver efficiently."

She smirked at Alex, kissing him again. "Beside, think of it as a reward for a job well done."

Alex laughed. "I love you, my nymphette." He slid a hand down and groped her ass thoroughly.

"Mmmm, I do see your point. I'd best keep my skills up."

"Yep. Who knows, maybe we're the ones who repopulate the mutant race."

She giggled, stripping his shirt off.

He facepalmed. "Gods help the mutant race..."

And then he rolled with her onto the better part of the bed...
