Mercifully, Posner's time as a Bound resident of Milliways was quite short. Only for the day. And he was, at least, allowed to put on proper clothes at some point.
He's back today, in his usual school uniform, stack of books on the first World War in hand. When he goes to the bar to ask for a cup of tea while he works, though, he's given a note on a napkin instead.
"Really? You want me to fill in? Er...yes, all right."
Flattered to have been asked, Posner smiles to himself as he tentatively moves behind the bar, feeling vaguely as though he's trespassing somewhere sacred. Another note pops up with directions, and he reads them carefully before setting up the specials board.
Specials
Tea
Beer
Apple Martini
(The last is really only because he thought it sounded good the last time someone offered it. He'll have to look it up should anyone ask for one.)
It must be said, his handwriting has taken a sharp downhill turn this term, so it would not be at all surprising if some of the patrons had to ask for translations of his scribbling.

"Hello!"
He squints at the Specials board. "Is that Latin?"
[ooc: I had the worst time deciding who to throw at him.]
no subject
"No, it's English.
"Well...it's meant to be English." He knows his handwriting's going to pot. He's sort of, kind of doing it on purpose, after all.
[ooc: BWEE!!! I was thinking these two should meet. :D]

[ooc: LJ isn't delivering notifs to me :(.]

He leans over to look at the recipes too. "I like wine best. Can you make a mar-tin-i with wine?"
[ooc: And of course when I bitch about it it starts working again.]
no subject
"Oh, it looks like this one is with vodka." A bit more flipping. "I don't see any with wine, though.
"I could just...get you some wine, though. I don't think you have to get what's on the specials' board."
no subject
"I'd like some wine. Mulled."
[ooc: Pre-edit is what I get for playing Merlin and Sherlock at the same time, I think.]

[ooc: Hee.]

"One at a time, please," he says, then stops, and looks at Merlin a bit differently.
Of course, it's always possible he's just named after the famous Merlin, but then...Posner did meet Demeter here...
Shaking his head, he gives the questions a shot. "My name is Posner. I've never tended bar before. And...yes, I reckon I am from Albion."
[ooc: Grr...LJ ate my comment.]

"Oh, then you know of Camelot." He beams. "That's where I live."
no subject
"You...you live in Camelot. You're...Merlin from Camelot..."
Thoughts of the Arthurian legends serving primarily as a metaphor for the unattainable perfect society, a national, unreachable goal, flit briefly through his head.
But mostly, he just grins.
[ooc: Aaaaaand, now I'm not getting notifs.]
no subject
He's gotten a response like this before, but it's still strange when he does.
"I'm Merlin from Camelot, yes."

Moist has been feeling sick and his leg his hurting, its rather odd. He smiles when he spots Posner, reaching up to his face as if expecting a mustache before sneezing into a handkerchief,
"Could I have a tea with some whiskey in it?"
no subject
"Yes, of course," Posner says, returning the smile, falling easily back into the customer service role he got used to working in the bookshop last summer.
"Any particular kind?"
no subject
He sits down with a sigh and a shiver,
"A good Assam if you have it with cream and sugar. The weather's making my leg act up."
no subject
"Is it an old injury?"
no subject
He doesn't think he's run into a witch or odd spell recently, "Hm, no."
no subject
"Your leg just acts up on its own?"
no subject
Though he does feel as if there is something else going on with his leg.
no subject
The kettle whistles, and Posner goes to start brewing the tea, glancing over his shoulder at Moist to show he's still listening.
no subject
Moist sneezes again, he rarely gets sick so he frowns at himself.
no subject
"Are you allergic?"
no subject
When you're sick you call attention to yourself and Moist tries to always keep in his best condition.
no subject
"Perhaps the tea will help."
His mum always gives him tea when he's not feeling well, at least. Though he suspects the soup does more for him.
