There's a young doctor sidling up to the bar that may or may not be familiar to Jo.

"Well if it isn't my favourite bar tender."

"The girl with the great taste in music and underwear."

With the bright grin. Dropping her cleaning rag on the bar.


Oh, she remember correctly. But it's better said that way.

Remy just smirks as she plunks herself onto one of the stools.

"You got it, darlin'."

Amusement. Her fingers cross and she pressed on the counter.

"Do you for a pint? Or something else?"

"A pint's just fine," she says, watching Jo with a grin. "'Tender's choice for what I'm having, though."

Jo walks off. Looking through things.





Eventually, she returned with a glass.

For tonight, first pint is Russian River Pliny the Younger.

She murmurs her thanks as the glass is deposited in front of her, and she takes a sip.

"So how've you been? Haven't seen you around."

Jo shrugged. "My door's not always good about being regular."

That and her job kept her busy on the road.

Remy mirrors the motion.

"It happens," she says. "I know sometimes I'm too busy putting people back together to even think about Milliways."

"You ever pull shifts here? I see a few doctors and nurses taking them."

[numbered_doctor]

"I don't, really," she says as she shakes her head. "I tend to come here to get away from work."

She pauses, taking a sip from her glass before continuing.

"Which isn't to say I won't help someone if they need it. I have, and I do have access."

Beat.

"I also do Life Support every other Tuesday."

"I've seen the flyers?" Statement and question.

[numbered_doctor]

"Basically, if you're feeling stressed, or upset, and need to talk to someone, we give you the option of us."

More liquid disappears from her glass and she grins again.

"Mind you, most days it's just the three of us talking to each other."

The white cat sitting on the bar, licking its whiskers and watching Jo, probably is wondering if the special covers pints of milk, too.

"Hello, there."

The cat get pet on the head.

The cat has very soft, clean fur. A very well-kept creature, and friendly, too. It purrs, pushing its head against Jo's hand.

Probably cleaner than her hands. But they are washed.

"Well, aren't you friendly. Have seen you here before, but not on the bar. Maybe you're cheeky, too."


Which might be a compliment.

The cat purrs, blinking bright green eyes slowly up at her.

Perhaps he's smirking.

Or just being a content kitty who just happens to looks smug.

Totally cheeky.

His nose gets tapped.

Resulting in her finger getting briefly licked by a rough pink tongue.

Jo sputtered into a laugh.

"Aren't you just a character."

[mogget_cat]

The cat purrs, perhaps smugly, padding over to the back edge of the bar and dropping down behind it. It twines about Jo's ankles once before slinking over to the fridge where refrigerated liquids (coughcoughmilkcough) are kept.

"Little sneak." Jo laughed.

"Guess you want a drink, too?"


She walked over and pulled out a pitcher.

Found a saucer, among everything, and put it down.

Paydirt!

The cat licks its whiskers impatiently, watching her every move until the nanosecond the saucer hits the floor.

The cat immediately settles beside the saucer to enjoy his drink. It's always better when you have a good bartender taking care of you!
