When she storms in, this isn't exactly where she was aiming to be. The filing room has turned into a grand place to seethe for a while when the frustration of working in CID got to be too much - no one else goes there but secretaries and unlucky beat coppers, and no one's likely to approach her. Not with the CID in shambles and D'n'C here, there, and everywhere. No one wants to get too close, just in case they are painted guilty by association.

So really, it is a surprise when the files she'd been carrying and had dropped to one side without really looking, expecting them to hit one of the tables, scatter all over the floor instead. That's when she starts swearing, low and angry, with the sorts of words one learns working in the very male, very tense sort of situation she's in.

Someone up there must really hate her.

James had been watching that.

He winces when the files hit the floor and scatter, and gets to his feet to help her gather them back up again.

As would only be right by a Gryffindor.

"All right?"
