Lily Evans is behind the bar again this evening, with a neatly lettered sign and a large bowl of multicolored jelly beans.
Well, for a given definition of 'jelly beans.'
HAPPY HOUR
Eat five
Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans
and get half off
your first drink.
Lily performs the charm that makes the letter on the sign flash different colors, and settles in to wait for customers.
[OOC: What five flavors your pup winds up with are entirely up to you. :)]

"It's an adventure."

Enzo likes adventure! He just never thought of candy in those terms.
He squints at her, then exclaims, "Oh, hey! You look different when I'm full-size."

"Sorry?"

She rather looks as though she's weighing her options. That, or plucking up her courage. Possibly both, given the usual state of free food in Milliways. Then again, this *is* on someone's bartending shift...

"Can I get you anything?"
no subject
"Those aren't going to--" the slightest of pauses, "turn me into something, or alter my memory, or... anything, are they?" Because this is Milliways. That question totally needs asking.
no subject
"No, it's just that they really do mean every flavor. So it's not just usual sweets -- you could wind up with peppermint or just plain pepper.
"Or grass or dirt or earwax. Or chocolate or strawberry or licorice."

Even so, Sariel takes the couple steps necessary to put her within reach of the could-be-earwax jellybeans. The bowl gets a long, still slightly dubious look, Lily gets one closer to questioning - this's okay? and then she's reaching for a first pick. And a second and a third, on up to the indicated five.
That first one's bright yellow. Might be lemon or banana, then again, might... not. Then pale pink, glossy dark green, orange, and honey gold.

"For obvious reasons."
At least, she hopes they're obvious.
"I'm Lily Evans."

After all, she practically lived on jellybeans when she was a kid.
"Five at once or one at a time?"
no subject
Some of the flavors are weird enough without putting them in combinations.

"Okay...." she reaches inside and pulls out five beans. She pops the first one into her mouth and humms appreciatively. "Coffee - and it's not bad at all."
no subject
"One down," Lily says cheerfully.

Just a little.
That one was tripe-flavored - and Clem, having never tasted the stuff, can only mentally process it as 'eww'.

"They really do mean every flavor."

Mostly.
Sometimes the grape ones also end up being lavender bubble-bath.
He smiles.
"Hullo, Lily."
no subject
"A lot of people here don't.
"Hello, Albus.
"How are you?"
no subject
He's just teasing, really.
"And how are you? I didn't know you bartended."
no subject
"If you eat five first."
Even knowing what you're going to get, you don't always know what you're going to get, after all.
"And I'm fine.
"Bar's asked me to a few times.
"It's a good way to meet people."
no subject
"Yeah, that's true. I did meet a lot of people the last time I did it. It was - um. It was me and Scorpius tending."
He finds his face burning without even intending it to.
Merlin, he needs to stop that.
"Er - anyway. All right. I'll try five. I get to pick them myself, right?"
