"Oh, hi," says Ako with a tiny, reflexive bow that might be mostly a nod.

"There are an awful lot of songs here."

In very tiny print.

"They're sorted by decade, I think? The modern ones... well, around 2000's, Earth, are towards the end."

[seat_five_girl]

"They do look more familiar around there," agrees Ako, "Um, I'm Izumi Ako. Please, call me Ako."

[leadinghome]

He nods, while managing to decipher the manual and put on some light jazz playing. "I'm Connor, it's nice to meet you, Ako."

"You too, Connor-san. Are you one of the usual hosts here?"

[leadinghome]

"Yes, Doctor Sandhu asked me to help a while ago, and I was glad to." He smiles and nods. "I think this..." he indicates everything around with a brief gesture. "...is a great idea."

"And snacks always help when you want people to show up," says Ako with a smile.

Little boys, horses, just about anything will respond to treats.

"Snacks and tea." Connor grins, nodding. "Or the coffee, those attract people a lot."

He nods to the karaoke machine. "Fell like trying something?"

"Maybe? I'm not much of a singer."

[leadinghome]

"Hey, the fun of karaoke is singing, not singing well..." He chuckles.

Ako is good enough at music to hear the wrong notes.

"If I find a good song," she allows.

[leadinghome]

Connor smiles and nods. "While you look, would you like a cup of tea?"

[seat_five_girl]

"That sounds nice," says Ako, "Please."

[leadinghome]

He will pour her a cup, then. "Sugar, honey, lemon, milk?" Or none of the above.

Yes, he made sure the tea offered many options.

"Just plain tea is fine," says Ako.

She might be ready to defend the cup a little. Tea shouldn't need anything else in it.

[leadinghome]

Connor is not about to push any additions to tea, but adds lemon to his own, giving the pure cup to Ako. "Here you go."

[seat_five_girl]

"Thank-you."

"You wouldn't happen to know anyone who is looking to do something like teach French would you Conner-san?"

[leadinghome]

"Hm, no. You're interested in learning it yourself?"

[seat_five_girl]

"A bit but I keep misplacing my tutors."

[leadinghome]

"Misplacing?" That sounds like a curious thing to say. "I think there's a good chance someone here is a teacher and knows French."

[seat_five_girl]

"I might see them once or twice but not again," explains Ako, "We might just be missing each other but it's kind of annoying."

[leadinghome]

"That's odd." He nods. "You could try posing a sign on the message board, looking for a teacher."

"I'll keep an eye out for people who might be interested in teaching, too."

[seat_five_girl]

Ako's mun is a slacker and a bad person. Um.

"Thank-you," says Ako again, "Or I might just do that to get back in touch with the ones I've all ready met too."

[leadinghome]

"Posting a message might also help with that." If they are from Milliways. "But you're welcome."

[seat_five_girl]

"I just forgot that there are ways to plan meeting up with people besides tending bar for a night and waiting for them to show up," admits, "Or running into them another way by accident."

To be fair it works fairly well overall.
