Somewhere out in the forest, a call is made. It's a very quiet call, but it really is intended to draw someone's attention.

"No, really, please do come back. I'm awfully sorry about the clock, but you really need-"

The voice cuts off as its owner comes into view. She's a small pegasus, looking around in confusion. Sure, she's not very familiar with the Everfree Forest, but this doesn't look anything like the parts she does know. And the rabbit she's been trying to catch is nowhere to be seen. And - are those buildings?

Well. Where there are buildings there are usually other ponies. She nervously steps out away from the forest's edge, softly calling "Hello?"

Well. That's kind of a lot to take in all at once. Fluttershy blinks a few times to try to put it in order.

"Oh. Um, what kind of rooms?" she asks after a moment.

Clementine is good at infodumping that way.

"Well, mine's like my house - only it's up on the second floor. Some people have one-room places and other people have suites."

"So... it's a... a hotel, too?"

Why a hotel-bar would be in the middle of the Everfree Forest, Fluttershy doesn't know. But then, if the Princesses used to live there, who knows what else might be hidden?

Clementine nods. "It's a hotel/bar/restaurant...barn thing."

That's certainly an unusual combination. "A-a barn, too?" Cows are intelligent, sure, but they usually like different sorts of living accommodations than ponies.

"The barns are out back, I think, with the stables," she explains. "I don't know. You might wanna talk to whoever's in charge down there." Ask Clem anything about the bar - THAT she knows.

Curiously enough, 'stables' aren't something one finds in Equestria. Something to do with the ponies living in houses, most likely.

But at the moment, Fluttershy has a different question on her mind. "Um, w-why is it here?"

...The narration did say anything...

Clem'll learn that one eventually. "The bar or the stables?" she asks. She feels fairly tolerant, as being confronted with a sparkly pony tends to make someone.

"The bar," she answers. "I... don't think I've ever heard of a stables."

[hey35andholding]

"The stables're out behind the bar a bit. And as for the bar? No one can figure that one out, man. It's just always been here."

[needs_fern]

"Oh. But, um, where does everypony - sorry, I mean, uh, where does everyone come here from?" The Everfree Forest isn't that large.

"All over the universe. All over lots of universes," Clementine explains. "I'm from Nevada," she explains. See, her time watching Reading Ron every morning before work while nursing her hangover hadn't been wasted.

Fluttershy boggles. All over the universe? It seems, to be honest, a little implausible. For one thing, where would they keep their spaceships?

Better to start with the more familiar, again. "Neighvada? Really?" It's hard to believe such unfamiliar creatures live that close. Yes, the pronunciation is a little different, but maybe she's got some kind of accent.

In Milliways, we don't need no roads spaceships.

"Close enough," Clem shrugs. "The place with the glitter and the casinos. Reno, not Vegas."

"But... why haven't I heard of you before? O-or anything like you?"

[hey35andholding]

"Well, I haven't heard of anyone like you before, either," Clementine explains. "Universes are weird that way."
