In a different continuity from Frankie up-thread, Desire stops warily at the bar, not far from where the good Captain is: The Endless lightly touches her, and attempts politeness. "It has been a long while.. Good to see you back. I don't suppose you're willing to forgive and forget, are you?"

A glass of wine appears.

*Jack glances over, eyes bright and wicked.*

Well, now. Hello, luv. I remember you.

Desire glances back, mood improving already. "Well hello yourself, Captain." See? Desire remembers our dear Jack as well. "It's been a long time, hasn't it? Been up to no good, I hope."

[pirate_jack]

*Jack grins back, full of mischief, and winks.*

Pirate, luv. What do you think?

*He glances at the wineglass.* Not rum?

"She and I had a small falling out, some time ago." Desire gestures toward the bar and then runs a hand along her top. "Seems to be over now, since she'll serve me. Next time, I'll have rum -- Unless you're offering to share?"

Absolutely, luv. Absolutely.

*Jack strokes the bartop, and another glass appears. He pours it full and hands it to the Endless.*

"Excellent," Desire says, giving the pirate a peck on the cheek while taking the offered glass: Before the action sinks in, the glass is raised and clinked against his own.

"A toast, Captain Sparrow -- May you be pursued by trouble all your days, and may it never catch up."

*Jack grins wickedly back and drinks from his own glass.*

I like that toast, luv. It's a perfect description of me life, long may it last.

*He winks, then.*

Except sometimes trouble can be fun, savvy?

Trouble, fun? Well, yes -- naturally!
Jack clearly has no idea how much trouble Desire is.
The Endless grins, and finishes the glass of rum. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Desire sets the empty rum glass down on the counter and gives the bar an affectionate pat: Winking at Jack, the Endless picks up the wineglass again and motions back toward the original table. "Thank you, Jack, but I think I'd best get back. Perhaps I'll buy your round, next time?"

*Jack grins back, and sweeps an elaborate bow.*
