Now appearing in a bar near you, for a limited time only, it's Lorelai!

Feeling especially dramatic today, she wanders over to the bar dramatically and orders a very dramatic martini. You ask yourself how this is different from any other day and she simply smiles. Come talk to her. You know you thinks she's cute.

Pretty much. *She shrugs ruefully.* It was easier when I was staying in his room, but now I can't, so.

"You can't?" She pries gently.

*Another shrug.* I have to stay somewhere else to watch out for a friend who needs me. Until that's fixed, I can't stay in his room.

"Well, that does make sense." She ships her martini, sensing a change in topic would be welcome. "Have you been dancing lately?"

*Meg winces.* Also not as much as I'd like. I haven't been home to work in days, I can't take the risk that more time will pass here than it does there.

"It sounds like things have been pretty stressful for you lately." She smiles sympathetically. "Is there anything I can do for you?"

Before Meg can answer Lorelai grabs her purse and digs inside, pulling out a chocolate bar and offers it to Meg. "Do you like chocolate?"

In Lorelai's world, when things are sucky, she eats chocolate.

*Meg grins.* Now I can eat it, yes, I'm very fond of chocolate. Isn't everyone?

*She takes the chocolate bar gratefully and begins to nibble it.*

"I don't think I'd trust anybody who didn't like it."

Lorelai smiles, pleased she could do something for Meg, even if it's something as small chocolate.

*Meg giggles.* I don't trust many people anyways, but people who don't eat chocolate I trust even less. It's hard to find, though - in my time, I mean. Awfully expensive.

She nods thinking about the truffles she had bought for her, chocolate was expensive back then. Fortunately, it was much cheaper in her own world.

"You know, I don't think I've seen you since you took us to Paris. I must thank you again. You were so very kind to arrange that for us."

*Meg perks up.* Oh - it wasn't any trouble, I hope you had a good time! Did Canard and Poulet behave themselves?

"Oh, yes, they were darling. I think Rory even had some luck teaching them to swim. Or at least splashing around like they knew what they were doing."

*Meg giggles.* Oh, they'll be lording that over the rest of the gang for ever. They didn't steal anything, did they? I told them very sternly that they weren't to -

"Um, not to my knowledge." She looks amused. "I did give them some money, so maybe they didn't feel the need."

*Meg grins.* Oh, I bet they liked you. Poulet and Canard are the sweetest of the gamins I know, that's why I asked them for you guys.

She grins. "They were cute. And very helpful. We found the hotel without any trouble. Or plagues." And thank God for that.

"It was really quite magical to see everything. I wish there was some way to explain it to people in my world just so they could know how pretty it was."

*Meg grins ruefully.*

Yeah - I love Paris. Couldn't leave it ever, I think, not really.

"I don't blame you." She shakes her head with a smile. "Although, I suppose I feel the same way about sleepy little Stars Hollow."

She finishes her martini and orders another from a passing waitrat.

Stars Hollow is your town, then? *Meg looks interested.* What's it like?

"It's small. Everyone knows everyone else, which some people would hate, but I love it because everyone's so quirky there. It's sunny in the summer and snowy in the winter. It's very pretty. And you can walk just about anywhere you want to go. It's safe." She stops gushing to drink her martini.

"If you ever want to go, I'd be glad to take you. You could walk around in your tutu and no one would think it was out of the ordinary."

*Meg grins.* I'd love to visit - I don't think I've ever been to someone's modern time. *She looks rather thoughtful.* Don't even know if I can, actually. That'd be an interesting thing to try, really.

She nods, excited. "Well, whenever you'd like to try we can. I think you'd find it fascinating at least. And it seems to be one of the safest other worlds around here. And chocolate and coffee are in abundance."

She smiles.

*Meg's grin turns briefly rueful.* I'll just have to remember not to remember any of the futuristic stuff when I get back so I don't destroy the space-time continuum or anything. But otherwise, yeah - that sounds like it'd be loads of fun.

*She looks downcast suddenly, remembering.* It'll have to wait 'till after this whole thing I'm doing is over, 'cause I can't risk leaving the bar, but -

Lorelai nods, waving her explanation away as unneccesary. "It's a terribly busy month at the Inn right now. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to should much now anyway. But when you get things around here settled and you need a break from all the stress, just let me know."

She smiles and then notices Indy talking to Hyde. She points to him, and asks, "You mind if I go say hi?"

Not at all. *Meg grins.* Give Uncle Indy my regards - and Hyde too, we've got a scheme of sorts going on. Later, Lorelei!

*And she wanders off.*
