Because I've been through that with Armand when we were together. I don't want to equate it to that.

He leans into the touch.

Richard gives up and puts his apron away. He walks around the bar to hold David properly.

And he misses you. He loves you so much. But......how many times did he do that to you? Will he expect to be able to take his temper out on me?

He shakes his head, wrapping his arms around Richard.

It was never in anger. He just... never asked me. He knew I was always willing.

He'd never hurt you. His temper would go elsewhere with you, because he loves you so and he won't hurt you.

David....that looked like he took you in anger to me.

He sighs again and decides not to push too much.

I'm mortal and he's a vampire. You know he could kill me if he wanted to. He's done it to his mortal lovers before.....he could have killed you that night without meaning to.
