He was still a little new at the whole 'dead and in a tavern' existance. And so when he saw someone behind the bar, he was understandably surprised.
"Well, look at that... the magic bar has innkeeps," he observed to the wolf that descended the stairs at his side. He wandered up to the bar as he spoke, easing up onto a stool. "This is something new, boyo; for all the time I've been living here - if ye can be terming it living - I've not seen a soul behind this bar. But she's in habit of being good to me."
Blais winked. "Anything different this morning I should be knowing about? Any changes to this fine, smart bar?"
"Sorry, lad, I tend to forget my manners." A smile, very used to being shown, was on his face. "My name is Blais. And this lovely thing here is my lir, Tanni."
Cued, she lifted up on her hind paws, fronts balanced on Blais' thigh. His arm easily wrapped about her shoulders. "Perhaps it is that I've managed yet to come in at the wrong times, or just the empty ones."
And Tanni did, curiously, courteously not touching cool nose or wet tongue to his hand. She wasn't, after all, some untrained, unblessed creature. The ruddy wolf was satisfied, and dropped down after.
"Richard - 'tis not a name I'm knowing, but isn't so bad as others I've heard since coming." He remembers poor Schroeder and his names that stretched longer than he stood tall. "If the clothes weren't telling me that few come from where I know, the names would be. But lad, so long as you're offering, I'd be glad to have some breakfast. Pork, perhaps?"
A tingle through the link reminded him. "And something for Tanni. She dislikes the hunting outside."
A bleary-eyed Wash plops down onto one of the barstools, mumbling something that could just as easily be "hello" as "why, God, why does the 'verse have to exist before seven AM?"
...actually, he's giving the whole 'laconic' thing another try this morning. So let's go with the first option.
"Uh. Omelette? Omelette sounds good. Can you make it with real eggs? And maybe lace it with caffeine?" He rubs the back of his neck, grimacing a little as he works out the kinks.
The corners of his lips twitch up into a smile. The smell of food's starting to wake him up a bit. "I don't know, I kind of have my heart set on a caffeinated omelette now...but I guess the coffee'll have to do. And let's go with cheese and green peppers."

without an entrance postbecause his mun's bored."Morning, Richard," he says, smiling.
His hair's rather noticeably different.
[OOC: Am at school, darlin', so replies will be slow or non-existent 'til I get home!]

"Morning, David. What have you done to your hair?"
no subject
"Echo had Isabel do it last night," he says with a smile and an exaggerated flick. "What do you think? Think it suits me?"
He grins.
no subject
"Oddly enough, it does. You and Charlie do well with hair-colours."

He strokes the hair again.
"But very handsome."

"No, sir, none that I can think of. And I'm surprised you've not seen another bartender. There are five others besides me."

"I'm Richard, it's nice to meet the both of you."
He holds a hand out for Tanni to sniff.
"Is there anything I can get for you?"

Zeke's there. He's smiling faintly. He's not awake.

"Morning, Zeke."

"Morning."
It's sleepy but pleasant.
no subject
"Been busy? I haven't seen you around lately."
no subject
"Kinda. Not really. Thinking. Stuff."
More awake. A little sheepish.
