God grant me the serenity to make it through the weekend without people pissing me off for no reason--
Bar presents Tommy with a note on a napkin.
"Oh, c'mon, again? Didn't I just do one last month?"
Another note. Which he crumples up, gritting his teeth.
"Alright, okay, fine."
And because Tommy is still lazy and has the laziest imagination ever, he repeats his specials for like the billionth time.
SPECIALS
Guinness (Irish dry stout a.k.a. beer)
Bushmills (Irish whiskey)
Johnnie Walker (Scotch whiskey)
Baileys Irish Cream (what it says)
Ladies! Get 50% off any drink if you kiss the bartender!
(location of kiss negotiable)
Kids, animals, bound people drink free
Mixed drinks cost extra
And with that, Tommy hopes for a quiet shift as he leans against the back counter and catches up on some reading. And by reading we mean this week's issue of Sports Illustrated, since he doesn't really do books.
[ooc: omg how are you all amazing? I have no idea, but you are. Open forever but slowtimes are officially in effect!]

That'd be a very familiar SEAL in combat gear, taking a seat at the Bar.
(Believe it or not, that's his definition of a friendly greeting.)
no subject
"Nope, that'll cost you full price and a whole lot extra, plus a guarantee that I return the favor. So, what'll you have?"
no subject
He doesn't make a habit of fucking around with liquor when he's carrying a loaded M60.
(Tommy might notice a few bumps and bruises on his forehead - not too visible, but they're there.)

He gestures at Voodoo's head. "What happened?" he asks, his tone a little flat, but curious nonetheless.

He is back in 1780 get up and has regained his equilibrium after the excesses of previous nights.
"I would like to order a drink, " he says.

He's also got on a floppy green cap and a green tunic, with chain mail peeking out of the collar and sleeves, and arm guards circling his forearms. There's a sword and a shield visibly strapped to his back.

(This is likely true.)
"Huh...? Oh!" He folds the letter, stuffing it into one of his pouches. "Hey, Tommy. I...made it to the senior class."
Doesn't look happy about that at alllll.

Elle's sitting at the bar, elbow propped up on it as she rests her head against her hand, staring at the Specials Board with no particular expression on her face.

Cute blonde! He ambles over to her, hands in his pockets.
"Oh, well, that just means if you really want a discount, I'm pretty flexible as to where you'd prefer to kiss me."
no subject
"You don't mind?"
Nope, it's not clear what she means by this. Though the last time she kissed a bartender, it didn't go over that well.

"Hi, Tommy. Can I get a Guinness, please? I think I had one of those once."
no subject
"Hey, Ellen. One Guinness, comin' up."
Holding a pint glass under the tap, he begins the approximately two-minute process of pouring a Guinness that could just pass acceptable standards in any Irish pub. Or at least the ones in New York.
"Ain't seen you in a while. How's it goin'?"
no subject
"Pretty well, actually," she says. "It's amazing how much work you can get done when you've got four or five robots doing all the heavy lifting and a couple of really good windmill designs that you can build from mostly scrap metal and spare parts. How about you?"

"Hey Tommy, could I just get some iced tea with lemon?" Swimming is thirsty work, don't you know.
no subject
Forgive Tommy's gaze as it briefly dips to all the appropriate (or inappropriate) places -- but the bruises and scars give him pause, and he frowns a little, wary concern in his eyes. It's not a reaction he's going to hide. He's seen some of her scars before and thought not to pry, but now it's the bruises and the bandage that are hard to ignore.
He fetches a pitcher of iced tea from the refrigerator and fills a tall glass.
"You're lookin' pretty hot. You alright there, though?"
Sticking a wedge of lemon on the rim of the glass, he slides it toward her.
no subject
Healing. Recovering. The party was simply a cover for what she would've been doing, anyway.
"I haven't seen you in a while - how've you been?"

She's reading the specials board.
And an eyebrow slowly goes up.
She turns to the bartender, pillowimg her chin in her hand, and grins like a cat in cream.

"I can explain."
FAMOUS LAST WORDS
no subject
She wasn't expecting one.
(She was actually thinking more along the lines of something sultry to say.)
But, since he's said that, she's more than happy to hear what this explanation is.

SINCE YOU DID SAY OPEN FOREVER AND I CAN'T HAVE ENOUGH TOMMY THREADS
Enjoy being spun around, pulled close by the ears, and kissed soundly this time, Tommy.
"Johnnie Walker." she says when she lets him go, panting, but smiling triumphantly.
Re: SINCE YOU DID SAY OPEN FOREVER AND I CAN'T HAVE ENOUGH TOMMY THREADS
"Johnny Walker," he repeats wide-eyed and breathlessly when she releases him.
Sweeping his tongue over his bottom lip, he sets up a stout glass and pours out four fingers of the liquor.
"So. Hi."
no subject
She sort of regrets letting go.
But when she does, Clem grins, licking her lipgloss-stained lips, watching him lick his own, glad he's savoring the moment as much as she is. "Hi. How's it going?"
