Since that strange night, Charles has been an owl. He hasn't seen anyone he knows and has been enjoying flying around outside but he wants to get back to himself. This is awkward and his feathers require a lot of work.
Today he is perched on the back of a chair with a newspaper laid out on the table and a small bowl of nuts. He refuses to eat a mouse or bird even if some of them do look tasty.
Tiny tag: Palamedes
(OOC: Open all weekend. Charles will be speaking telepathically into your pup's head if he decides to talk to them. If they have mental shields, let me know, as he's sort of listening, just not as much as usual. Being an owl is distracting. Also ignore the rather large timestamp from one thread to the other, its been my first week of work. Thank you.)

A chair that a woman named Lilly had, she was testing various magical accidents that have happened here.

The memory is one of amused bewilderment.
These sorts of strange things happened around her, sometimes.

Count squirms free, and hops on the ground.

It wasn't terribly scientific, but she seemed dedicated to figuring out a solution.

"She might have tried consulting the magic library," Teja says. "Do you know how long the owl-curse will last? Shall you need uncursement?"
He knows some gods -- Loki is surely strong enough to undo this, if he can concentrate for more than half a minute upon the same thing, which seems a problem with Loki.
Lovely, lovely god, but an attention span like a butterfly on drugs.

Loki is known as a tricky god, he would rather stick with those he knows like Iris and Apollo.

Pause.
"Would you wish to formally complain about Lily Kane, or do you file this under what they term 'fucking Milliways'?"
no subject
He will, this is an uncomfortable and odd situation but he'll find a way out of it.

Oh, why?

Count has gotten a little closer and Charles fluffs himself up to be bigger and hoots.

Teja turns his head, and grins. Yes, he does grin, thinking that Count has been braver before, but it is just as well he will flee an owl.

Do be careful. I know you're a brave cat, but I'm a big bird with a sharp beak.
no subject
Or his human will save him. His human is a great fighter, he tries telling the big bird.
Teja looks from one to the other, wondering if Charles can truly reach the cat's mind in this shape.
How useful!

That would be a peace offering.

It tastes very nice, and he is very grateful.

Good and be careful about who you think about attacking.

"It seems," Teja says, "you have found an understanding with Count."
